Thats a good point, my consumption is a relatively low but with the way LS is at the moment, there is a high likelihood that there may be bouts of 4-6 hours followed by another in less than 6-8 hours which may not allow for enough recharging time. Beginning to think that without solar to augment re-charging it may be a bit of a waste.

Hi guys, Looking for reviews opinions on this unit as a back-up for 2 TVs, 2 laptops, a set of Led lights and the wifi routers. Currently running on a 12V 1000W Mecer inverter with a single 12V 100AH battery. System works well with the switch over and handles the load quite well except with the repeating load shedding and long load shedding it doesn't seem to last the full 2 hours. Option I have is to add another battery to the set-up (cost R 3500) OR change to this portable unit (Cost: R13500 for 1000w and R20k for the 2000W). Does anyone have any experience with these units or have any advise on the way to go. Appreciate in advance.
