Sonoff POW R3
I have seen that, but then after every load shedding the geyser will switch on.... (its on non essentials)

Sonoff POW R3
I have solved 1) above. I rebooted the router and Sonoff and re paired them. Has not gone offline since then. For 2), I have added some multiple "On" times and this seems to have solved that issue. One more question, if we have no fibre for say a whole day, will my geyser not switch on at all, as the Sonoff will be offline?

Sonoff POW R3
Morning, I Have been using this for a few days now on my geyser and so far so good. Its on my non essential, on a Sunsynk 8kw invertor. I have 2 questions, and would appreciate any help, 1) The Sonoff is mounted quite near my router, but I do see it goes off/on line fairly often, just for a few seconds. If I have schedule it to switch on/off at the exact time it goes temp offline, what will it do? 2) As it is on non essentials, when there is load shedding it is switched off, so if I schedule it to run from 01h00 till 04h00, but there is load shedding from 00h00 till 02h00, then when the grid comes on at 02h00, I presume the switch will not come on? Thank you, Bruce

Sunsynk query for nonessentials
Glad to hear its sorted. My CT coil is being fitted today, once that is done will I be able to see on the app how much excess PV is being fed to the non essentials? Sunsnyk 8kW. thanks,

Sunsynk 8kw - Setting for a rainy day
Thanks, I was trying to find a remote way to do that from the app.

Sunsynk 8kW + 2 x 5kWh Greenrich + 5.55kWp PV
All done and running beaut. Cleaned up the cabling on the batteries a bit and looks real neat now. Very happy.

Sunsynk 8kw - Setting for a rainy day
Ok thanks, thats what I was thinking as well, but then that cant be done remotely I dont think, ie if away on holiday, switch off and then back on. If at home, then its a simple hardware switch.

Sunsynk 8kw - Setting for a rainy day
Yes, that is my question. So for example, say we have a 2 day grid failure, and very low PV (rain). Can I tell the system not to use my batteries in the day, and then use them when I need, at night? Thanks for the help,

Sunsynk 8kw - Setting for a rainy day
Thanks for the reply, I have got that figured out, as you mention above. What I am trying to figure out is how to maintain my SOC, when there is no grid

Sunsynk 8kw - Setting for a rainy day
Hi all, just a quick question. On a rainy day, and load shedding during the day, with very little power coming from my PV, is there a remote setting to be able to conserve my available SOC for the evening? In other words, if we have LS from 14h till 16h00, can I tell my invertor not to supply the house for those 2 hours from the batteries, so I can maintain my SOC for when its dark, rather just switch the house off for 2 hours, especially if no one is home. this is assuming the PV is not producing enough power to cover the load/majority part load, ie heavy rains thank you,

Snap, very similar system. Install is being finished today, but had hot coffee this morning during LS.. Happy days 🙂
