Hi Guys has anyone made any headway with this? I also want to install some panels but I do not want issues down the line with COCT.

Hi firstly I am very new to the game and overwhelmed therefore I am desperate for some advise. I have a Synapse inverter installed at my house with a battery bank. I would like to add solar panels to the mix to charge my batteries during the day and take the load of the batteries during daytime load shedding. No plans to feed anything back to the grid. Can someone assist with drawing or pointers or pictures on how the connection should be made as my inverter is not listed on the cities approved list. As I understand I need wire the system as if it is completely off-grid and get a COC and still register this with COCT. Secondly is it allowed to power my inverter via a contactor that only charge the batteries when Eskom power is on should the need arise.
