Hi All, after much research I have sadly come to the realization that for the following system:
5kw 48V Inverter
5kw 48V 100aH Batter
Due to the nature of the recommended charge and discharge for LiFePo4 batteries being 0.5C, I would only be able to discharge these batteries at 2.5kw (50aH) per hour, depleting them in 2 hours.
Thus my 5kw inverter is being wasted as it can only ever provide 2.5kW of power if I plan to maintain the health of my battery.
So if I want to run a 5kw inverter at full load, I would need 2x the battery capacity, effectively 10kwh of batteries.
Am I missing something, or is this a well-known limitation of these systems? Either I'd need 2x 48V 100aH in parallel or a 2x24V 100aH battery in series, but both would result in a total battery capacity of 10kwh, which is double the inverter rating.
For interest, these are the spec sheets of the invert and battery I am considering
