Hello Powerforum, Another complete noob checking in. I am hoping for some clarity. I know there's no doubt a ton of reading to do here but frankly I'm a bit burnt out trying to get my head around it all. Hoping for some quick answers as no doubt I'll be back with a million more questions. Looking to get going on solar. I was hoping to do this in at least two phases - first being a minimum of inverter and battery and then adding panels at a later stage. If this is not the way to go about it please let me know your thoughts. For an average household of four, here are the basics I'm looking to start with: - Deye 8kW Hybrid Inverter - SAKO Rechargeable Deep Cycle Lifepo4 Li Ion 10KW Powerwall 48v200ah Lifepo4 Lithium Ion Solar Battery Pack The battery especially I'm flexible on in terms of brand (prices seem to have gone ballistic since I checked a short while ago). Any feedback on that combo greatly appreciated. My questions are: 1.) Can panels be added one/two at a time? Or is it better/only possible to install a full MPPT at a time? I have two decent north-facing roof spaces in mind. 2.) What spec panels can I use? I've heard the Deye 5kW can use no larger than 500W? Is this the case with the 8kW? What would be the ones to go for? Canadian Solar? I would like to get the best reasonable option to maximise use of roof space and wattage. That's all I can think of for now. Feedback appreciated.
