I absolutely agree that Knysna Municipality has it completely wrong and is in fact "disincentivising" SSEG buy-back from residents. I live in Knysna and have opted NOT to go for the buy-back option. By my calculation to just cover the extra cost, I had to generate an additional 28kwh per day... an additional capital investment of circa R120'000. I'm guessing not too many people will be going down that path! George Municipality has an interesting approach...
