  1. Did you ever get a solution to this?

    Do I need th LV-HUB?

I have 1 bank with 4 us3000c in them. And one new Bank of 4 just arrived, but not installed yet

Problem is that cables are rated to 120A that feed the Breakers / isolaters

First bank feeding the breakers / isolaters

Do I need to set my second bank also direct to Breakers to avoid an overload of 120A on the long cables to the breakers and short ones between the 4 batteries.

Then how would ICC communicate to the second set of batteries as the Pylontech cable is connected to the first bank console port?

  2. Hi Members,

I have had a revamp on my system recently and want to connect a generator to the Inverters to charge Batteries on Cloudy / rainy days when needed.

But my inverters dont pick up the the fong kong 7.5Kw Gennie I have.

My Installer has same Inverters and has a Yamaha Generator that works.

But want to make sure I have all options as It is an expensive purchase if does not work.

I also have Ardendorf 3ph 12KVA on a by pass switch, but this thing is so noisy. Also not sure if I can hook it up to system. Each phase is only 3kw though

Does anyone have a proven generator working when needed?

    3 X MPP Solar 5Kw V Series (Infini V Cluster on ICC)

    4 X Pylontech 3000c (Soon to be another 4)

    12Kw in Panels.

    Give that supplier a Bells!!!

    I know right?

I did not expect that at all... Thought I would have to buy the new stuff and Sell out of hand the batteries and Inverters I have :)

  4. Thank All for the Replies and Info...

Supplier is going to take back the 3 axperts and supply 2 X Solis 3.6kw with limiters and wifi etc.

Need to rewire the 7kw array into 2 strings in series.

  5. Dont care for sending back to the grid, Also, I am sure its not available here yet.

I just want to use my power on my house. and go to grid at night where I use much less.

Would Above Inverters need to send back to Grid?

  6. Ok So that did not work !!

Bought a small set of royal batteries just to get these 3 Axperts to pull power from the panels (As my previous bank was end of life).... But alas, It seems everything needs to go through the batteries irrespective.

So its pulled them flat twice already today...

I need another Solution from the Gurus please...

True Grid Tie, No Batteries... I want to pull Maximum power from 7kw array during day and move to Grid seamlessy at night or low solar power...

Needs to take Generator for Power Outages. hich are few and far between

    Thoughts please ?

3 brand new, just installed 04 APR 2018 Axpert 5kw Inverters for sale :(

If it was me. Find the faulty battery/ies using a load tester. Why? If they short, they will overheat and may pop. Gets quite messy, all that plastic and acid all over see?

I like this idea as option 1... Where Can I find a Load Tester, short of me removing all 8 Batteries and taking to my local Battery Centre. :)

Do you need to run stuff off batteries at night?

I dont mind running at night on Utility as my load is minimal at night.

I am trying to get my high day time load fully supplied by Solar if possible.

Pool Pump, Heat Pump, Borehole pump, PRessure Pump, ashine machine etc.

(If I run on Utility I could pay R1000 a week... if I switch to inverters / SBU then I come down to R600 a week.)

But now since we replaced the 2 "blown" inverters last week, I cannot seem to get Solar to kick in well and supply the load... (Due to the batteries I think that are poked)

  10. Hi there

Probably a stupid question as I think I know the answer already.

Can these Inverters run with no batteries and only on Panels and switch to Utility when when needed?

I pulled the fuses to the battery bank and they just fault.

My Batteries need replacing but dont have 50 or 60 k right now :(

  11. Hey Everyone,

I had a solar solution installed about 3 or 4 years ago now...

Lightning apparently hit the Axpert 5kVa Inverters and Insurance paid out so now replacing the 2 damaged ones (error 72 after 5 min running). Both Inverters have their own string of 9 X 250w panels.

Installing a Third Inverter with its own set of 9 X 275w panels now too while at it, to increase my daytime load capacity.

Batteries are tired though... I get maybe 5 min out of them :( 8 X 105?aH .. According to Invoice was supposed to be 150aH. But not marked anywhere on batteries, so not sure.

Installation was messy, where All NEutrals from Panels were wound together and taped. One String of panels did not seems to be producing well either... Also got taken for a ride on pricing for the entire lot... was too excited at the time and did not do my homework as I should have... Albeit , things were more expensive 3 or 4 years ago...

So anyway, long saga , short... the new installer is tracing everything and double checking all is well... And I am wanting to double check him :)

So Hence I found you Guys! Already did some reading this weekend and lots to take in...

I will post questions and concerns in the relevant areas, Thanks All!

    Regards

    Allen
