Hi all I currently have 2x Pylontech UP5000 batteries connected to my Sunsynk 8kW hybrid inverter, with 8x 540w solar panels. One of the UP5000's was recently replaced under warranty with a new Up5000. The other one is about 4 years old with SOH 97% I want to add a 3rd UP5000 - my question is, do sell the 2x current UP5000's and replace with one 16kW battery, like Hina 16 KW PowerGem Plus Battery, or do i just buy a 3rd UP5000? What could i potentially get for the 2x UP5000's? Is there any advantage in just having one 16kW battery (besides the new 10yr warranty)? I will probably also and a 3rd string of 4x more panels

Hey guys have a weird problem now not sure why its doing it. got a Luxpower 12Kw inverter with 24 Pannels connected to it and this 15kw batter it's almost a year old now. now the problem is it will randomly just fault out requiring a bms cycle. at first i thought it was perhaps the protocol it was on pylontek so changed it to lux and still does the same was hoping that will fix it. what i did now is change the can cable from cat 5 to cat 7 to see if that's what's causing it it has a pace 16s 200A BMS with the pace tools I cannot see what the problem is. cell balancing is is about 5 - 20 mv apart depending on how high the load is generally, it's under 10mv 90% of the…

Good day. I have an UP5000 battery and attempted to update the firmware. I got the firmware from a support person in South Africa who encourage me to do this. The Serial number is K20110C32260597. The battery does not switch on now. All LED’s are dead. If I attempt force upgrade, I get error as below. I suspect I was given incorrect firmware as there are different chipsets? The mentioned support person now does not come back to me. Can anyone tell me where to get the correct firmware or point me in any direction of someone that can assist me? Much appreciated.

Hello everyone, recently have an issue with the vestwood battery, it does not have lcd screen or Bluetooth, the baterries are continuously going into protection mode, even if the load output is open, the run led is not staying on, the charge is full currently, the ptc temperature and voltages measure fine, could it require firmware update, is there a software to load new firmware or diagnose the battery? Hard reset doesn't rectify the issue.

Hello, I have 2 different brands and different capacity LiFePo4 batteries (200 Ah and 100 Ah both 48v). Bigger one can communicate with my inverter (GROWATT SPH5000), but small one not. Also batterys are with diferent BMS`s. Bigger battery can be charge/discharge with max 200 A, small one max 100 A. GROWATT SPH5000 charge/discharge max with 60A. I was thinking to use it as I connect both batteries at parallel and connect only bigger one to communicate with inverter, bacouse inverter does not charge or discharge without communication. What you think is it safe and is it work properly?

Hi guys. I currently have 5 Pylontech batteries. 2 x 5000UP 3 x 3000US They are current in 1 bank to my Sunsynk 8kw inverter. I seems the 5000Up was discontinued and I am unsure if there will be an replacement battery available that is compatible with the 15s batteries. Is there any other brand battery that anybody can recommended to connect in the pack to replace my current setup or do I take the loss and go for 16s batteries?

I'm having trouble connecting to EDMS_V1.71.0329. I'll attach a screenshot of the problem. Currently, I'm using this version of EDMS (V_2.01.0801), and it works fine, but I can't access the data file related to the BMS card, for example, the date and parameters. I'll attach a screenshot.

I am having some issues with my 16kWh battery with Pace bms to show the right parameters on Deye 12KW 3 phase inverter. Battery Charge Voltage, Charge Current limit and Discharge Current limit showing on the inverter battery page do not correspond to the values set in the Pace bms software. Battery is communicating with inverter on CAN with Pylon protocol. There are two batteries connected in parallel. One is master and the other is slave with corresponding addresses of 1 and 2. I have tried Pylon RS485 protocol and it did not solve the problem. My understanding of the parameters is as under: Pack FullCharge Voltage should be equal to Battery Ch…

Hi all I've tried the search function but couldn't quite find something that matches my issue. I have a Growatt SPF 5000ES inverter connected to x4 Dyness B4850 batteries via RS485 (comms by CAN protocol L52) - no issues in this setup. I have since acquired x2 more B4850s secondhand and they don't appear to playing well together as a stack even after they been top-balanced. The x2 purchased recently have a visual difference to the x4 older batteries, in that they have x5 SOC lights on the panel in comparison to the x4 SOC lights on my original quad. When connected to my current system (with one of my original older batteries as the Master), the x2 "newer" batteries show …

Hi all 😄 I recently got a swollen US2000 battery from a client. The BMS is still good, and I'm currently looking for a solution to replace the cells that are out of order (still have voltage but swollen). The battery is out of warranty from Pylontech. I'm considering 2 solutions: - Find pouch cells of the same type and replace them with the old ones. - Find Prismatic cells that can fit in the case and modify the wires for the BMS communication. I enclose photos of the battery I received and the cells state (the battery cables were cut by the customer). Any idea are appreciated

Dear Forum members the company that installed my solar system (Rubicon) appears to have given up the ghost (or at least, all interest in the retail solar home installations business), so I'm left to fend for myself when trying to expand my current system. I have a 5kwH Synapse Ultra Hybrid inverter with a Synapse Powerlite 5.12kWh/51.2 V battery. I would like to add a second battery, but I’m having trouble to source another Powerlite. There seems to be just one company that sells this exact model, at an inflated price. But Synapse have a very similar looking battery, the "Synapse Lithium battery, 5kW 100Ah 6000 Cycles @ 1C 10 Year BMS Warranty". This battery looks to all …

May I ask what the 154 means on the data plate of this battery. When i opened it up i found 30AH cells in pairs on one model and 130AH single cells in the other. The manufacturers data sheet for these cells shows a capacity below that suggested of 8 kilowatts. Has anyone else observed this anomaly?

Hi there Can anyone please assist. I have a 48v v svolt lipofe4 battery that has changed itself way it works lately. It now cuts off with 4 lights still remaining and at 53% charge left. I contacted luxpower and the support tech suggested that I update the bms as it may be drifting. Does anyone one know how to fix this. If you could help it would be appreciated as I am disabled and have no clue how any of this stuff works. I can leave my number 0784702897. Thanks Shawn

I have a 8kw Deye Inverter and 2 x 5.1 CFE batteries. When my batteries are discharging, at times the SOC hits say 60% and then just drops to 0%. It then starts charging gets to 40% and then jumps to 100%. What would be causing this?
