Hi all, New to this. I just recently purchased a new Svolt 5.09Kwh 48v 106ah Wall Mounted Battery and was going to purchase the Luxpower LXP Hybrid 5K Inverter. I sent them an email to see if it’s possible to get it compatible with a cable modification or something else and was given a few words about what’s possible. You can leave it as lead acid mode and limit charge voltage and floating voltage according to battery manual. Which doesn’t sound like a good option for me, so my main question here is what other hybrid inverter (reasonably priced) that I can look at that will be compatible. I’m preferably looking for IP65 (higher humi…

I have a 8kw Sunsynk 10kw inverter with 18 550w north and west with 3 x Bslbatt 5 kw batteries My neighbour around the corner installed 2 x 5kw Victron inverters with 16 panels and 4 x Freedom Won batteries. At the same time during the day, his solar panels deliver 5 to 6 kw whereby mine only hover at 3 to 3.5kw I have posted about this before but never actually got an answer. Must I just accept that Victron setup is better than Sunsynk???

Good day ladies and gents, Perchance, is there any way to enable the module alarm buzzer for older US2000B PLUS and US3000A Pylontech batteries during startup and whenever an alarm event has been triggered? I have a suspicion that it may have been disabled by Pylontech, at some point, for a few speculative reasons… Whilst I can enable it via Batteryview, and verify that it does function; somehow it remains on all the time with and without any alarm conditions, even after logging out, and disconnecting from Batteryview. After restarting the battery, it basically reverts to ‘silent’. After logging back into Batteryview as Admin, that prior selected state of buzzer on, retur…

Hello, I would like to lower the maximum charging voltage of my US2000C (FW 3.0). At the moment it is set to 53.2 V, and I have no way to change it from the inverter side (HYD4000ES), since this value seems to be imposed by the battery BMS. Is there any way to modify this setting through the BatteryView software, for example by logging in as administrator? Also, I have two battery packs connected in parallel: a US2000C configured as master and a US2000 Plus configured as slave. If changing the maximum charging voltage is possible, would the US2000 Plus automatically follow the settings of the master battery? Thank you!

Good morning, Hoping someone with experience can advise. I have a Deye 8kw Hybrid system running with 3x Shoto SDC10-Box 5 (5.12kwhr) batteries. I'm looking to upgrade my battery storage but buying more 5.12kwhr batteries is inefficient. Can I purchase and install the SHOTO SDC10-Box 16kWh LiFePO4 Battery 51V 314Ah ? link for reference: https://energytechstore.co.za/shoto-sdc10-box-16kwh-lifepo4-battery-51v-314ah-rackmount Existing batteries: https://www.geewiz.co.za/lithium-ion-batteries/196065-shoto-lithium-ion-lifepo4-51kwh-51v-battery-100ah-512kwh.html Or am I forced to sell my 3 existing 5.12kwhr batteries and replace them with 2x 16kwh batteries? Thanks in advance.

Hi, Two of my DIY "Portal" system's batteries started giving alarms on Sunday. The battery screen shows no active alarms, but connecting the battery to PBMS tools shows me a "Total Voltage Fault". Is there anything I can do, or is my only option to go to Revov directly? They seem to give an alarm while charging and discharging, and I have not changed any battery settings. I originally built the system in December 2024 and added a third battery in November 2025. Bat 1 Bat 2

Hello everyone, my Pylontech Force L1 battery shuts off after a few seconds of being turned on. The inverter, a Voltronics Aspect VMIII, had an F51 overload failure, and since then the battery won't start. I've disconnected everything and turned on only the battery, but it displays an error and shuts off after a few seconds. I've tried the different modules one by one, but the result is the same. I think the problem might be that the BMS has a protection setting preventing it from starting. Has anyone had experience with a similar issue and can offer some advice on how to revive the battery? Thanks, regards. VIDEO-2026-04-15-20-54-26.mp4

I am seeking some advice regarding my battery upgrade. I am planning to add a 5.32kW battery to my existing 5kW inverter, but I have been informed that Sunsynk has discontinued its batteries. As a result, I would need to purchase a 5.32kW Eenovance battery, which was originally the manufacturer behind Sunsynk batteries. I understand that the Eenovance battery must be set as the master, while the existing Sunsynk (Sun-Batt) battery would function as the slave (see attached document). Additionally, firmware updates for the Eenovance battery would be managed via Wi-Fi, whereas the Sunsynk battery would require a manual PC connection for updates. There are still some Sunsyn…

I have a Solis 5kW inverter (model S6-EH1P5K-L-PRO) and a Sunsynk 5kWh battery (model SUN-BATT-5.32 with serial number starting with SSLR so a rebranded Eenovance). After a day without the grid with the battery on the low end it will charge to full at only 180W and that can take a full day. That's less than 4A whereas the battery spec says maximum charge is 100A Surely this is not normal? Any idea how I can fix this?

Hi, I bought a Growatt inverter and a battery with a JK BMS for a small installation, but unfortunately I can’t get them to communicate with each other. I’ve tried various protocols—L51, L52, etc.—but communication never establishes; the inverter reports a communication error. The only thing that happens when I connect the data cable is that the inverter allows discharge from the battery to the grid. Is there anyone here who has dealt with a similar problem and found a successful solution? I contacted Growatt support, and they said everything is fine on their end; I contacted JK support, but no one ever responded! Thank you for any helpful advice.

Afternoon all, Could anyone recommend any trust worthy 3rd party companies that are able to repair Pylontech batteries that are no longer in warranty. I would need someone to look at my 4 batteries and tell me if they are salvageable, perhaps build 2 out of 4? Thanks,

Hi all, I am hoping that someone may have experienced my issue previously and been able to resolve it. I have a bank of 4x Pylontech US3000c batteries connected in parallel. Recently (Sunday) one battery in the bank went down to 7%, while others were at their usual plus/minus 50%. I thought this was odd but I let the batteries all recharge back to what I though was 100%, then used the batteries as I did normally, charge from sun during the day, discharge modestly at night. The issue came back again on Monday the same battery went down to 7%, I now knew something was not right. I hooked BatteryView and called Segen Solar, they advised that the battery cells needed to be ba…

I’m curious about BMS designs that gradually reduce the charge current based on State of Charge (SOC), rather than the normal tapering that naturally occurs as the battery voltage approaches its final value. ( like what iPhone battery controller do after 80%) For example, some BMS limit the current to 20A during the last 15% of charge regardless of the voltage. Has anyone used such a BMS? What are the pros and cons? Does it affect cell balancing or battery performance?

Goodday all I am off grid in the Northern Cape , looking for a suggestion for simple straightforward LiFePo4 battery. Distance from technical help and me not being computer savvy or electrician, makes it imperative for a easy fault find or fix and preferably no hassle. Have been using a Victron 3000/48 ( a inverter that I won on this excellent forum) with 8 Trojan batteries . The lead acid have really surprised my expectations ! 6 years old now ( had the batteries before I won the inverter) but batteries are done. The Victron Phoenix is still running strong ! I have a new Victron Multiplus 2 (5000/48) and would like suggestions for around 10 kwh LiFePo battery or batterie…
