My twingo ev starts reducing charging power already at 60%.... for example under 50% it charges full 22kW, above 60 it reduces already around 16kW, at 80% it is around 12kW and at 90% it is already below 10! and so on...

thanks jumper, I am thinking of some ventilation tube from living room to inverter in garage, but how to manage 'good looking'... female part of familly insists on it 😉 will try using something like this on picture

I connected panels as I wrote in this post. Two strings of 7 panels connected in serie makes total max Voc = 350V (well below MPPT max allowed), each string fused with one inline 20A and all 4 cables (6mm2) inside single tube (some 4m long) from arrays to garage to 2 automatic DC circuit breakers 30A before inverter. As short circuit current of each string is <15A these wires should never be hot, so I don't expect any problems even in hot summer days. BUT, the only thing that worrries me now is this: inside temperature of inverter, it gets to 70°C now in winter days (5kW load, one hour for example)..... How to keep inverter cool in summer when room temperature is around 35°C (some 20 degrees more then now)!? (very similar if not exactly same as Axpert Max 7.2kW). Any hints? Thanks in advance Ivica

As I wrote in separate post, I have Alpha Outback spcIII 7.2kW with two PV inputs. In future, I will have seven panel in serial on each PV input, (right now only six panels on PV1, with DC breaker and one inline fuse 20A). Short circuit current is <15A and wires are 6mm2. Beside DC breaker, do I need one or two (+ and -) inline fuses for every string? Is it allowed to pass all 4 wires (for both strings) through the same tube to inveter (cca. 7m long tube)? Question about Alpha Outback spcIII 7.2kW (very similar or identical to Axpert Max 7.2)
Everything is working fine, as expected, no problems after you explained to me. I was logging data from inverter for last 2 months and it is obvious that 100-200W from grid (even though PV is capable to deliver it) are taken until 1.5kW of load, after that (especially >2kW) it doesn't take anything from grid, all is taken from 'sun' side. Now I have next question: As this inverter has 2 string inputs, now I am thinking to by more panels to have also more power and connect them to second input (in manual it says: max 4kW pv power per input). With 8 panels in row, it would be 4.4 kW PV power (10% over recomended maximum from manual) but OC Voltage would be around400V (well under max. allowed 500V). Is it too much, and if not, can I fill both strings that way (10% over limit). Thanks. Iveky

After a while, I finally have more info how this device behave and here I will attach log from yesterday: it shows that I was wrong at the beginning of this post, just opposite! Inverter doesn't switch solar off with high loads connected (as I wrote in my first post, it was my mistake cos of my inexperence and cloudy day, yesterday there were only few clouds on the sky). As you can see from the log, it successfully delivers over 2kW electricity from 3.3kWp panels (max. was 2.4kW), and behaves in same way in both situation: when all 6 panels are on PV1 or in case when I divide them like 3 panels on PV1 and 3 panels on PV2. But what puzzled me in first moment and now I can confirm with attached log are moments when load is < 100-200Watts and then inverter draws all that from utility, doesn't take it from PV input (takes only 20W from PV!?). When load goes higher then it starts to use PV energy but for loads around 500-600W it wants to use 30% from utility and 70% from PV.... and from this log, I see, with loads over 2kW it is as should be? Could you guys comment this log I attached, why it behaves so? (yellow lines are these with low load and blue ones are with maximum PV) Coulomb, is it bug you mentioned before? Slowly we will discover what and why happens... PV is new for me, this is my 3rd day in playing with it, setting connections, and setting properly this device. It is summer in EU right now, so I wasn't in hurry to buy batteries, but I am puzzled right now in which direction to go: 1. setup B string, extra add some 2kWp (to existing A string of 3kWp) or 2. buy Plyontech battery (3.5kW).... Does Axpert III clones work properly without batteries, in fact my question is: can it be destroyed by not connecting batteries for several months? I see, this inverter (on sunny day) doesn't need grid neither battery to work properly and it can succesfuly deliver around 1kW from existing pv panels. Thank you for you advices. Iveky

No, I have no batteries right now, in some distant future will buy Pylontech. I tried with grid connected and without grid connected, in both cases it stops to deliver power from PV to loads. Software in device , read by WatchPower: Main CPU firmware: 45.07

Thank you for fast response, no, when that happens voltage doesn't drop to 90V, on display (PV1 values) voltage jumps (from 220V for example) to around 260-270V and drops drawing from 1kW to some 20W like no load connected. I will try to split panels on both inputs, to check difference. Will report here with more details, but I am waiting for better weather, very windy and cloudy right now...

On this hybrid inverter I have no batteries, only panels and grid, and on PV1 is connected 6 panels (47V Voc) for total of around 270V some 3kW, and PV2 input is without any panel. What I noticed is that inverter (both in SUB and SBU mode) after connecting loads of 600-1000W is working ok but about some 10 minutes later is switching completely to grid and only draws some 30-50W from panels. In this first period and also later there is no error from inverter. Any hints why is this happening? Would it be better that I split panels and connect 3 panels to PV1 and other 3 panels to PV2 input? In that case, voltage per PV input will be 130-135V, is it enough? (from user manual: PV array mppt voltage range is between 90 and 450 Vdc). Is it too low as nominal mppt voltage is around 230V? Thank you for any hints
