  1. Started by Jaxone,

For the past 3 years I have been running with a Deye12KW and 10x Pylontech US3000C. Back in 2023 I sent a notice to Pylontech about one battery misbehaving and they told me to charge it full and let the stack sit for 24-48h ... since then I forgot about it and now it started to throw OV and of course Pylontech denied my warranty until now... we are still arguing and debating about the BMS role and #(^T#*$^T@#$T #HFIG#F .... Anyway as I still have 10 good batteries and can not run Pylontech BMS with any other BMS on the market I needed to replace this run away battery and still be able to work with a PACK and control the batteries by BMS rather than voltage.. So I deci…

Hi Guys, I need some direction on how to troubleshoot error 19 on my system . I have the following. Growatt 5000es 3 x Dyness 5100 batteries 8 x 600w canadian Panels. The system has been running for a few years. This week. all batteries are dead. Reboot wont work. I get error 04, 19, 20. Master battery is on 36v. The 2 slaves are on 48v. The master no lights are on. On the slaves light 1 and 3 on the SOC meter are on. So i took the best battery (By voltage), made it master(dip 3 on) and disconnected the other 2. The inverter did not pick up the battery so i set the inverter(Menu item 5) to USR2 mode and kept the default charge and float values. The battery started …

Since loadshedding hasn't happened for months I have set my inverter to keep the batteries at 85% and charge the balance during the day. Should I keep doing this or set it to 20% How long will my batteries last if I keep it at 85%?

I started my system 5 years ago with 2 Battery packs of LEOCH 48100-TB. I gradually added another pack, a second 5kW inverter in parallel and PV panels. So far it worked to satisfaction. Last year I added 3 more battery packs. LEOCH had in the mean time come out with a new model that is the 48100-S. Now there is an issue with the new ones. While the 3 older ones with over 1500 cycles still show 100% SOH, the new ones after a few days of service showed 99% SOH. I complained about at the seller Averge. But Averge argues that if they can prove 100Ah capacity according to specs they do not consider this a guarantee issue. In the mean time a year later two of them have turned…

Good day All ive got 2x 5kva inverters that was installed a few years ago running 4x 200amp agm batteries ive just replaced them with 2x new gen volta stage 1 batteries now ive noticed that its not sharing or splitting the load and the master does the work and the slave charges the batteries what setting did change that did this as it was working before i set it to user Menu 02:80A; 05:USE; 11:80A; 26:56: 27:54; 32:AU33

  6. Hi guys. I am in the process of replacing all my Pylontech BMS boards with JK ... Pylontech passive BMS simply does not cut it and recently Pylontech is cutting corners when comming to warranty cases.. Anyway, short story .. I have 10 x Pylontech US3000C running in parallel with 1 x 105Ah JK BMS battery built with 15x105Ah Eve cells , so same voltage. (need to test before I change all BMS inside the Pylontech boxes). All batteries are connected to same buss bar , using same length cables. Looking at the current draw , I see at a stable load , the Pylontech are discharging with 100-115W and the JK (even being an 100Ah battery) is only pulling 67-70W. Why is that ?

EDIT June 2022: Note this is an old thread with most of the comments from April. Most or all of the April comments seem to turn out to be not the solution to the problem. For the possible solution to the problem, skip to the bottom (starting at first comment after April) for more recent updates. Sometimes all the lights flash and the battery beeps continuously. The manual says "high voltage protection", "cell voltage higher than 4V or module voltage higher than 55.5V". Happens with battery half charged not full. Manuals says turn off for 15 mins and then back on. That works, however the issue will then happen again a day later or a week later. So far 10 times in…

  8. Dear all, I'm looking to be connected to the Console of my US2000C manufactured in 06/2025. Unfortunately, this is not working for me for an unknown reason... I have a CISCO console adapter (USB to RJ45) which works well => I can get an echo on my Terminal if I connect Tx/Rx together => Pin 3 connected Pin 6 on Cisco RJ45 side Then, I built my own RJ45 (Cisco) to RJ45 (Pylontech) adapter in order to have : => Pin 6 (Cisco side) => Pin 3 (Pylontech console port) => Tx => Pin 3 (Cisco side) => Pin 6 (Pylontech console port) => Rx => Pin 4 (Cisco side) => Pin 8 (Pylontech console port) => GND I have checked my new wiring and it works well =&…

Good day The Shoto HP10-Box5 lithuim batteries are stackable (Floor standing) The bottom part where one stacks the batteries on - what is it called and can anybody tell me where I can purchase it? See attached pic. Much appreciated.

  10. Good day I have a Fivestar FS-G01-48200 battery 10KWH 51.2V but i can't get comms from the BMS on a Sunsynk 5KW inverter but i think it could be a old firmware installation on the battery but I have called and contacted everyone that sells or mentions Fivestar but no luck no one knows how or where to get the newer version, so I'm hoping someone here might have some light to shed on this, pictures attached.

  11. Hi all, so yesterday I installed 4 x US3000 Pylontech and went on to the website in order to register for 10 years warranty. They require pictures and most probably configs that I can provide. I did the installation and configuration my self. One of the compulsory items on the registration is "Installer Company Name" and I don't have one. Does anyone know if I can register for a 10 year warranty or any other way to resolve this?

  12. I have had endless problems with one of my Shoto 5.12 batteries purchased mid 2021 here in Cape Town ,after three returns to fix the battery from an alarm state of which I had to pay R700 each time ,I then proceeded to apply asked for a replacement under warranty. At the time of returning the battery I noticed behind the front counter a wall notice visible to all that said( No Warrant On All DIY Instillations),never the less I insisted on a claim for a replacement , the claim was dismissed on incorrect battery fitment case closed. There are many topics on this forum about a batch of faulty Shoto batteries shipped to South Africa during mid 2021 and many BMS r…

I need some advice please. I have 2x Shoto 4.8kw batteries connected in parallel. Then I have added a Pylontech US3000 also 15 cell battery to the same fuse box. The Shoto batteries are monitored with Solar Assistant and the Pylontech through the LuxPower SNA6000 Inverter. Did this a couple off day ago as our substation blow up in the area. They all Charge and last me through the night and do get fully charged no problem. When Discharging the Inverter sees the Pylontech as 52% and the SA sees the Shoto's as 51% and charging the same. The Voltages on both are more and less the same, the charging and discharging are within 1% all the time. The question is. Are there any co…

(Updated info further down in the post) I create a very simple Python script to interrogate the Pace BMS as used in some popular lithium battery brands. I've also packed this as a Home Assistant add-on, but can just as well be used as either a standalone script / within a docker container. It reports the voltage of cells, temperatures, the pack's current, voltage, SOC, SOH, and a few other metrics. Use at own risk. Either a serial link to the RS232 port or via IP (using some port server over TCP) will work. Repository: https://github.com/Tertiush/bmspace The script serves by needs atm, so any further developments can be done by the community…

Hi Everyone, One of my neighbors has Victron MultiPlus II GX and a Pylontech UP5000 and asked if I could have a look at it and see if I can figure out what the problem is with the battery. I have managed to connect to the Inverter using VRM. They have not been used for some time (2 years) and when I turned the inverter and battery on, the UP5000 is totally flat and flashing red. It comes up with a low voltage alarm when I connect to it from my laptop. I have tried recharging it using the Victron but cannot get it to wake the battery BMS up (I am not a Victron guru so could be doing it wrong). Does anyone have any suggestions/experience on how else I can try wake the…

I'm puzzled, perhaps because it happened to me for the first time in 2 years and I ave no clue what could cause it. My power consumption was decreasing slowly over the night, so was my battery SOC. Then around 3 o'clock at night the voltage dropped to 0, as if all the power suddenly evaporated :-) In the morning batteries started charging slowly and then after reaching like 3% around 11:00, suddenly jumped to 100%. What could cause such behaviour? BTW, I'm using 10 x 5kWh SVolt batteries with 4 x 5 kW Deye inverters in parallel.

I'm looking at a basic setup with a SunSync 5K inverter and want to add a 5k battery. I've looked at the Hubble 5.xkw AM2 or AM5 and the Greenrich 4.95kw I have 2 main questions... 1. Hubble has a 1C rating while Greenrich has a 2C rating. From what I understand the Greenrich would charge faster (twice as fast) and accommodate load spikes better? 2. The DoD, discharge, the Hubble says a lifecycle of 6,000 cycles at 50% while Greenrich is 6,000 cycles at 80%. Am I right in saying I can use more of the Greenrich battery (up to 80%) and have the same lifespan of 6,000 cycles from Hubble? Based on the above would Greenrich be a better option to Hubble? Is …

The real capacity of batteries I started my system 5 years ago with 2 Battery packs of LEOCH 48100-TB. I gradually added another pack, a second 5kW inverter in parallel and PV panels. So far it worked to satisfaction. Last year I added 3 more battery packs. LEOCH had in the mean time come out with a new model that is the 48100-S. I connected all of them in parallel to one bank now theoretically 600Ah. Pretty soon I noticed that the new 48100-S packs behaved different from the older TB48100-TB. First they draw higher currents than the older ones. I attributed this to a lower internal resistance due to improved manufacturing. However It was followed by a faster decrease of …

Hi, I have these 2x units. 1 is a US3000 and the other is a US 3000C. Both spent their 4 years of life on a Growatt. They are both swelling and it feels like a shame to pay to recycle them. The BMW must at least still be good for something, or are they really now just trash? They still turn on provide power, but casing is bending from the pressure. I have replaced them already. I have emailed a few places and no one does repacks. So what do I do with them?

Hi. I have 5 x V-TAC VT48200B battery. This is the same like Vestwoods and Narada. When I connect batteries via can to 2x deye 12kW inverter I get only 300A charge and discharge. I get information about that I should change how many battery is in one stack. I have UIWare software for that but my converter rs485 to USB not connecting the batteries with PC. Maybe someone can help me how to connect batteries with PC? Maybe some specific address of dip switch? Thanks

  22. A friend in Pinelands purchased a battery with the advertised specification of 48 volts 150 a/h The physical size is 450mm x 460mm x 190mm The display shows However, this is only 40mm wider than my own Shoto 5.12kWH batteries He found that if the AC is switched off at night, with an average load of 500 watts, the battery shut down after 7 hours Either 1 - The capacity of the battery has been over-stated, or 2 - The battery is faulty Any ideas?

  23. Good day, I have 4 Hoselect 48V 100A Lifepo4 wall mount batteries paralleled. I have communication from my SPF5000es Growatt inverter to the first battery. I need to establish coms between batteries. I connected pin to pin cables from RS485A on battery 1 to RS485B on battery 2 and then from battery 2 RS485A A to RS485B on battery 3 and so on. I am not sure they communicating as I have different discharging and charging on the batteries. If I set dip switches all on master battery settings the inverter shows BNS communicating but the moment I change dips witches on batteries 2,3 and 4 as per manual the Inverter screams and loses coms with batteries. Any help on the …

Hi, I have 2 Sunsynk batteries that were installed around 2 years ago and I just bought a 3rd one from Voltex on special. I've seen people mentioning that I might need to upgrade the firmware on the older batteries to make it play nice with the new master battery. I know this is a long shot but does anyone know where I can get the updated firmware? I'm not super keen to speak to my original installer
