Hi peeps, im new to the forum but an old time browser/reader. I need advise, I have 2 RCT 2000va 24v ups (inline), all the batteries are gone. I also have 2 150AH gel batteries. I want to know if it will be on to connect the UPS to the batteries to run: 1. tank (90watts) 2. tv, surround sound and MI box( 200watts) 3. Fibre (7watts) worries-will the charger be enough, will the UPS be ok with about 4.5 hours run time?

  2. Hi all I have received an Pylontech US2000 battery from a client. The battery failed and the cells swollen. The client, for safety purposes, didn't send the cells with the battery. Someone could me help for finding the electronic card attached to the cells ? For the cells, i will try new ones from Aliexpress and solder them to the original electronic card (if i can find them). I have attached pictures of the battery. The customer supplied me with all the cables except the cells. I can help for the shipment if needed. Best Regards

I'm currently using deep cycle gel on my offgrid system. 6 years down the line, daily cycle and I'm starting to get issues in the morning with the inverter switching off due to low battery voltage. Clearly we're approaching EOL. So I'm looking at going Lithium. I started doing some reading this week but already have a few questions. We currently use very little, at around 3kWh per day. We have a Victron MultiPlus-II 48/3000/35-32. Based on this, I presume I could actually get away with a 5kWh LFP with a 1c rating, but I'd prefer to allow some expansion room later, so thinking 10kWh. I'm seeing the HinaESS HI5 is 1c rated and comes in very cost effective per cycle and kWh.…

Our house (roof) got struck by lightning last week, knocked out a lot of items including the BMS's of 2 of my Hubble AM-5's, getting them repaired at Hubble R8090 for both. I was surprised at the damage as I have all the protection mechanisms in place. DC protection on both the battery and PV feed as well as earthing on the system and SPD's. I also have a COC from a proper electrician. I now see my WIFI logger does not want to connect, the red light keeps on flashing (Sunsynk 12kw 3ph, 3x Hubble AM-5's, 18x 550w CS panels, 75mm batt cable, 6mm PV cable etc etc. Any comments on how / why this happens and why only 2 of my 3 batteries are damaged? Any experience with the Dat…

Hi, please can someone who has the same setup give me the cable pinout for the BMS side and the inverter side to connect the BMS to the SunSynk 5Kw inverter for CAN battery communication. Thank you

  13. Good day, The diagram in Deye manual shows a single battery bank shared between all inverters (same battery bank is connected to each inverter DC input) but BMS communication cable is only connected to the "master" (first) inverter. This works well if all your batteries are the same but not if you want to add more/new batteries that are of different type than those you already have. This could be obvious question but surely you should be able to use separate/different battery banks connected separately to each inverter in parallel, each bank now connected with communication cable to dedicated inverter?

  14. Started by wawiel,

I am running a Deye 8kW inverter with 3 Pylontech Batteries. 2 off US3000C of which the newest one is the master plus a US3000. When discharging, the SOC has a rapid dip from 51% to 30% in 17 minutes without any change in load. Non of the other parameters as per Solar Assistant seems out of place. This is due to the 3rd battery (US3000) dropping much more than the other two during the same time. It is running then behind for the entire day. It only catches up when the SOC gets above 90%. Can it be a firmware problem that the BMS communication between the new and old batteries are not efficient?

  15. Good day to you all! So, I have 2 x Luxpower 5KW inverters, linked to 2 CFE 5.12KW 48V Lithium batteries. A few months ago, the following issue started: The batteries would discharge as per normal use, once the batteries reach 69% they would then rapidly discharge down to 0%, the grid would then kick in and automatically recharge the batteries to 100%. It's always in the early morning and then early evening when there is no sun. These are the times the battery drops to 70% with normal no sun usage and then they crash to 0%. So always uses GRID to recharge the batteries at these times. Anyone with a similar issue or suggestion what is going on? Many thanks!!

  16. Hi, Is it possible to check the used cycle count on a Sunsynk Battery LFP Wall Mount 5.32kWh 51.2V battery? The only info that I can see is the State of Health on the inverter display. Thanks.

  17. Hi. I have some pylontech us3000C with the new chip (they have E2 or C3 in their serial numbers). I saw that the latest firmware for them is 2.4 and I was wondering if anyone has direct experience/knowledge on how it works and what changes it brings. My us3000C are at 1.7, so it's starting to be far from latest and you never know what bug fixing and improvements a new version brings since (as far as I know) there is no changelog available. Thanks

Hallo I have a 36 v microcare inverter. I used lead acid batteries on it but the batteries need to be replaced. I want to know If I can replace it with lithium or not. I don't want to buy a new 48 v inverter that I know is compatible.

  21. I was on a bit of a google searching this morning and decided to look into a second battery, to compare pricing (as one does lol). I haven't really seen much online about this. Below is from a supplier website that no longer offers Sunsynk batteris but these Eenovance ones. Has anyone gone this route successfully yet. I did note one thread on the forum with this battery name so far. Any comments and info welcome on this Quote Sunsynk has ended its royalty agreement with the previous battery manufacturing factory. This means they are now using different Sunsynk battery models, which are incompatible with the 5.32, 10.65, 15.97KWH battery models. Moving forward: Battery Ad…

  22. Hi everyone, we have a very strange situation and would really appreciate any advise. Existing installation, 16 x 605w Canadian panels, 12kw 3 phase Sunsync inverter, 10kw Sunsync battery. We recently purchased a 10kw Eenovance battery (slave) and connected it to the system in parallel. In theory this should have been as easy as plug and play if you follow all the instructions like we did. What we have noticed is that on the Eenovance battery (slave) there is a slider switch, that when it is in the ON position (battery lights are on), it stops the power from the panels and the batteries don't charge. When that slider switch is in the OFF position, everything works as norm…

  23. Started by Methuselah,

I have two Pylon US2000 connected to my Deye 5kW inverter and recently upgraded by adding two Pylon 2000C batteries. The batteries are now regularly setting off alarms. The inverter reports "DC volt low" alarms. I've searched for support (that I can understand!) on the dip switch settings without luck. The present settings (as set by my installer) are: Master battery (2000C) 0,1,0,0 : Second battery (2000C) 0,1,0,0 : Third battery (2000) 0,1,0,0 : Fourth battery (2000) 0, 0, 1, 0. These make no sense to me and don't match anything in the manual (I think!!). What is puzzling is that, on the Li BMS page, the inverter reports Voltage, current, SOC, temp and…

  24. Hello Power Forum, I am facing a communication problem between Pylontch US3000C and SMA Sunny Island 8.0H_V11. According to manual, we have to use the RJ45 pins as the pic attached. The Sunny Island uses CAN protocol. So, my question is that we should use the left column of the pic, at both battery and inverter slots? And what about Pin7 and Pin8? Do we keep them NULL? Thank you so much in advance for any guidance..

  25. Good Evening all members I am looking for some advice on ESS setup for a Victron Multiplus ii 5KVA 48-50/70. I have 12 x CS 360 watt panels 250/70 Smart solar MPPT BVM712 Batteries are DC Rebel Gen2 LiFePo4 210Ah batteries 4 in series for 48V and 10KWh. These batteries have an internal BMS that protects against over and under current as I understand. I know the charge and discharge specs, but does anyone have experience with such batteries coupled to a Victron Inverter? Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you
