  1. @Denns I personally won't recommend anybody that clearly is not comfortable fiddling around with electricity any other way but shown tester. Even his Swambo/Kids/Garden Engineer can use it safely. I can tell someone to bridge the earth and neutral at a socket to see if the earth leakage trips, but is that black wire really the Neutral or Live?
  2. @CTskollie Please, please, please give me pics at different angles with proper lighting of all DB's. I really want to help, but can't trace wires if I cannot see where they go. There is definitely NO earth leakage protection in your setup. The changeover switch must have only 2 (Two) wires coming out of the bottom, that should feed your circuits. Not 4. Top is 2 for feed from inverter, 2 for feed from generator. Go invest in a simple plug-in tester for your own safety. Use that to test your socket outlets. Then confront him. Earth Leakage Tester mt310 230V AC Yellow I put money on that you won't get a COC from him There is no way in hell that your sparkie is qualified and/or registered with ECASA
  3. @CTskollie I need to see: 1) Where the red wire at the bottom of the Main Breaker is going. 2) Where the Blue and Yellow wires at the top of the Earth leakage are coming from. 3) Pic of wiring of the other (new) DB.
  4. I will comment once I see the pics. The more, the better.
  5. @CTskollie Bypass/Disconnection of Earth leakage on the output side of the inverter is a big NO NO. (EXTREMELY DANGEROUS CONDITION!) The input side to the inverter don't need to go through an Earth leakage device. (Maybe this is what they disconnected/removed) Perhaps show good pics of all your open DB's wiring to comment. Also, pics of Neutral-Earthing circuitry.

  12. ...show me your Fusion360 design, then I will comment 😄
  13. Correct. Absolutely nothing wrong with paper/pencil, but CAD stimulates the brain You can always 3d print / CNC / laser cut your design to see if it is suitable.
