Hey. Whenever I come across a website selling a unit that I'm interested in for way less than the competition, I want to do some due diligence and check them out first before buying. Has anyone heard of sun4safe.com? Apparently in PE, but there's no street number on their address and I can't find them on google street view. Also no telephone number listed and I can't get the owner of the domain as that info is listed. So I wondered if anyone here in PE had heard of them? Their Volta Stage 4 batteries are well below the next lowest priced supplier that I know of that is legit (UtilityPal), so I am curious what the deal is. I'll reach out in the week and sus it out, but if…

Please stay away from this company. Although their website has an address and 2 contact numbers to look legit, they are not legit. I paid for a Hubble battery on 10 May, but it never arrived and will never arrive. The bank confirmed they use burner bank accounts, and as soon as it's closed, they proceed to the next one. How these people continue with this, I don't know. Opened a SAPS Case and tried to report this to the hosting company, also the website is https://solarpowershop.co.za/

Has anybody used this place before, website seems really professional however I can only find one Hello peter review. They have a physical address but online only shop so orders must be done online. Alternatively anybody has suggestions on BSL suppliers in Cape Town besides Herholdts, their pricing is a bit crazy.

Starting this thread as an alert area for known scams and bad actors targeting South Africa. We're seeing a massive uptick in these atm. Instead of littering many threads, hopefully this can serve as a common discussion thread. Some of you guys know the legitimate suppliers, also what is plausible, what's not. Artists Against 419 has a project tag for solar and generator scams, ZAShed. Some of these scams concentrate solely on solar and generators, others mix solar and generators with other scam baits. https://db.aa419.org/fakebankslist.php?cmd=ADV&x_Project=zashed

Good morning, Has anybody maybe had interactions with the company "RV Solar Solutions" operating in the Cape town area? The owner is Ricardo. https://www.rvsolarsolutions.co.za/ I am about to use them for an installation, and just hoping for some feedback before pulling the trigger. They seem very clued up and professional, but it never hurts to check personal experience.

Howdy all, starting this thread to find out if there are any others on here that have had dealings with a company called Amber Energy and if so what your experience has been like? My dealings have been costly and disappointing to say the least. I initially used them to setup a system based on my then budget constraints how ever I had advised them that as cash came on that I would upgrade and for them to make provision for these upgrades. My initial install consisted of a Victron Multiplus 5KVA, BSL Batt 6.5 and 14 Panels. After a few upgrades with them and hundreds of thousands of rands spent, the end result was 5 x BSL Batt 6.5 batteries, two victron…

We have had a great quote from guys at Enpal (Enpal.co.za), and they arranged a site visit with the local installers they contract with, Solarc Energy Africa. Both company’s look legit by ways I can think of to check. But Enpal is very new in SA and I can’t find any online reviews of first hand experiences with them. Has anyone had/heard of any experience with them, good or bad? Any one with experience with Solarc?

Hi There I'm new to the forum and looking to do a basic solar installation to cover lights, TV, etc (Minor appliances) I found a company advertising on Facebook called "Your Solar System" who has below package R65 500. 8 * 550w Canadian Solar panels 1*5kWH lithium Iron battery 1* 5KVA Luxpower invertor Cables, connections, AC DB board, installation, programming and coc. I would like a system that I can add batteries and panels onto at a later stage so would probably be better to go straight with an 8kva invertor. 1. Has anyone used this company or can confirm they reliable? 2. Thoughts on this setup and pricing? 3.…

I am considering an 8Kw Sunsynk or Deye system and on looking around I have found 3 (so far) brands which on external looks appear identical to the Deye and SunSynk inverters. These are namely; 1. Magneto, apparently a South African company. Website has a contact number but no address. 2. Fusion, apparently a South African company. Website has zero contact details and is only marketing blurb.. 3. Growcol, Claimed totally identical to Deye/Sunsynk incl. firmware by reseller. However apparent website (growcol-tech.com) is out of date and sales blurb.. Contact details show a chinese address and phone but whois reveals site registered in S.A.!! Site is exclusive…
