This is for all the newbies looking at getting some sort of loadshedding solution or something more permanent using solar. DO NOT FALL FOR ALL THE SCAM WEBSITES that are popping up everyday. There is a syndicate that are putting out these websites quicker than they can be taken down. Don;t be fooled buy the fancy badges that say google-approved or hello peter approved, they are FAKE. Also be very careful of websites with lots and lots of FAKE testimonials and star ratings. They intentional do that to make you think the websites are legitimate. If you are not sure about a website come along and ask on the forum. 99.999% of the time if a deal lo…

Beware of this supplier, they have a long standing site with reasonable reviews, I purchased parts from them in October and have struggled to get any response from them, not sure if they are legit anymore. https://www.droneparts.co.za/

  10. Hi All, Has anyone purchased anything here before ? - Looks like they are based in Bloemfontein. Just curious because I’m after this battery & they are selling for +- 3K less + free shipping vs any of the other online e-tailor Their domain was registered: 3e. creationdate : 2021/08/30 09:49:32 Did mail them just now asking of they are real but in the current day & age we are living + the stories that you see going around my thoughts with new domains popping up just before x-mas with prices that "looks to good" smells a little funny I.MO. Thanks Konrad

Hi Apologies if this in not in the correct section but not sure which other is relevant... Has anyone used or can validate a crowd called BFO Solar (bfosolar.co.za)? According to their website they are in Klerksdorp and also in Potchefstroom. They have some solar panels listed that I'm looking for but have not heard of BFO Solar before. Their website mentions shipping country wide but I can't find anything about shipping rates and if I add the panels to the cart and go through the checkout it does not mention or include shipping (I stopped at the point of payment), so am a little weary...

  19. Greetings everyone. In my journey to become free of eskom , i have installed a 10KVA solar system. and let me state that this road was not without problems. I have learned alot from this forum, and thank you for this. In November 2020, I made the biggest mistake and bought a solar Geyser and 9 x 400W Mono panels including install from SolarEnergyLife ((0)12 807 1023) [email protected]. I was made to pay the full invoice otherwise they will not install. After about 3 weeks nothing was installed and just excuses form them. I had to threaten then with attorneys letter in order for them to install. Then they only installed 6 panels, because…

Ok, so quite a few companies stock this geyser controller and it's being installed by many solar geyser installers as well. It's slightly cheaper than a geyserwise controller. sustainable and thesunpays are two common names in the industry who stock them. Rather get a geyserwise unit. I would not advise anyone to ever buy a SR609 / SR609C geyser controller. Why? - It's not SABS approved so you will probably have trouble replacing it through insurance. Your insurance may probably also deny your burst geyser payout. - It plugs into a wall socket, and then have another power cable into the roof to the geyser. This might be fine for some people, but IMO a geyser…

Hey all, Happy Christmas Eve! Wish it was happier for us.... We were tricked into purchasing a 5kVa Growatt and selling it to a Pastor Wesley Solomon at Founders Memorial Congregational Church in Coronationville. He claimed to have been scammed too many times that now only did COD and would not pay a deposit. Hubby delivered the Inverter, ther grounds keeper signed for it and produced a cheque. Cheque was completely legit, problem was it was donkey years old and the account didnt exist anymore. Conned out of 10k the day before Christmas. Be safe and careful guys, these people really dont give 2 hoots what position you…

Me:Hi Solarway: hello there Solarway: how are you Solarway: how may we assist ? Me: The Growat inverters Me: Are they hybrid inverters? Solarway: yes all our inverters are hybrid inverters Me: Ok so the blend AC and DC energy? Solarway: you cannot mix them together at the same time Solarway: you can changeover from AC to DC Me: As far as I am aware, true hybrid inverters blend both AC input and DC whereas off grid inverters either only use DC or AC energy at a…
