  2. It is around R45 per month.
  3. Thank you Robo in plain site and I did not see it.
  4. HAs anyone installed the new SMH 3.0.0. firmware update for the PI, if yes please advise where or what I have to do to load the software to my Pi. My phone will no longer work with the ver2.1.0 firmware installed.

In the armature winding business they "satmos" treat motors to protect them against moisture may be worth a look into.

  7. I have a couple of questions. 1) Under settings - Schedule - Battery SOC Control - could someone please explain to me how this works, I am trying to get my battery to start charging at 85% SOC and stay switched onto SUB/SOL all the time. Please assist me to get this right. 2) I continuously have a low very low battery warning when my battery drops below 95% SOC what setting must I change to get this right? 3) Why can I only see the voltage and amperage of the first string of solar panels linked to PV 1 sockets on SMH? This happens on both my Inverter information shown on SMH. 4) When I measure my solar voltage input the highest voltage I get is 370 volts, why does my SMH software show the voltage as 470 Volts on the main display screen? 5) Is there a patch for the SMH software to read the cycle and battery ID details from Pylontech US3000B batteries running with US3000C batteries?

  9. I have been running my Gate motor off a 50 Watt Solar panel and a cheap 10 Amp charge controller now for around 8 years. I have kept the 7.2 amp hour 12 Volt battery in the motor housing and have no other supply connected to the unit. In the 8 years I have replaced around 3 to 4 batteries and replaced the plastic rail mounted to the gate twice. Keep it simple and to one supply only. I have not converted my garage door openers to solar yet but will do this soon due to the doors not working at all without utility power. This is a major problem when the utility is down I am not able to get into my garage. The garage motors work off 2 x 6 volt batteries in parallel and appear to be a little light on out put current to open the doors on their own.
  10. If the output voltage of the wind turbine is between 0 and 400 volts DC is it not possible to install the supply directly to the inverter on one of the PV inputs that can handle the voltage?
  11. Anyone know these batteries and if you do post some specs please https://solartradesales.co.za/product/7-2-kwh-125ah-lithium-ion-batteries-10-years-warranty-guaranteed/

  13. Has anyone done business with City Solar SA and can give me a reference on this company. https://www.facebook.com/citysolarsa/about this is the only link to the company I don't find a web page. I have corresponded with the owner Runhards by email and receive quick replies.
  14. Just for anyone else having problems I sent a mail to SMH about mixing US3000C and US3000B batteries see question and answer below. Question to SMH I have connected 1 x new Pylontech US3000C as the master battery and 2 x US3000B in one battery bank. On SMH I have the batteries selected as Pylontech BMS. Under the battery monitoring section all three the batteries are showing 0 cycles and the serial numbers are missing for the US3000B batteries. Prior to me adding the US3000C battery both my B batteries had 5 cycles recorded. What do I need to do to get the batteries displaying correctly under the Battery section on SMH? Reply from SMH The master battery does the comms to the other ones, and also controls the reporting of the Serial numbers, etc. We have contacted Pylontech though as the C version of the batteries are not reporting correctly (as you found out), so we are awaiting their reply to find out if there is a firmware update that needs to happen on the B version, or if there are new commands in the C version that we need to execute to get all the data we (and you) require. As soon as we hear back from them we will take it from there. Hopefully there are just new commands for the C version and not a firmware update that’s required on the B versions
  15. RoboTinker, just to clear this up you are representing SMH and trading on this site https://centurionsolar.co.za/, if yes what software is available from you to run the system in conjunction with Sonoff smart controls?
  16. Beware of this supplier, they have a long standing site with reasonable reviews, I purchased parts from them in October and have struggled to get any response from them, not sure if they are legit anymore. https://www.droneparts.co.za/
  17. Hi Francois, its just a pity the App only works if you buy the monthly subscription. When you purchase the product online this is not made clear. I found this out on this forum after I purchased the software and as of today my licence is no longer valid so now only have access to the SMH Desktop app on the PI.
