If the address is fake then who ever is living there has no idea of it.

Normally the first time a victim pitches, the legitimate owners of an address has no idea what's happening. By the third or fourth time, they're warning folks. It also gets nasty sometimes with victims not understanding the scammers are using a fake address, accusing the legitimate owners of running the scam. It gets rather messy when they are also spoofing a legitimate business. Many of our leads are from such folks.

Thank you for checking @Virwat.

Does anyone know of, or dealt with, this company:  https://gotechenergysolar.co.za

Prices look good (too good actually), and their listed address is Coricraft according to Google Maps?

Their "need help" link goes to Google as does the "Sales Team" link on their home page.

Their returns policy refers to Unboxed deals, Online Course codes and Bundles - none of which are sold.

They also duplicate products on the website with different prices (e.g. Dyness BX51100 for R13.4k and another for R14.9k)

Their FAQ's page references a number of pages on another US based website https://www.energysage.com/

Just too many red lights!

Nothing?

You guys have nothing?

That domain is just a month old, so unless you want to take a leap of faith, I would stay away. If you are close to the address, you can visit them to confirm legitimacy

Go to Google maps, type in 26 Tsenin Road, click on the picture.

They are obviously cheap because of low overheads, literally and figuratively. /S

Delivery is probably by express taxi.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Thanks Jason, have asked Philip to invoice me. Will pay first thing as soon as I receive the invoice and will collect in person from Segen thereafter.

Oh, wait... did I get that wrong? Oops.

Trust you are well?

The domain has been in existence since 2012, the are listed on google reviews as well with a 4.3review. So seems legit.

Is cubedsolar.com a legit company

Seems not. I just got caught by them for R12K.

Do people actually ever recover money from these scams, or are they just allowed to exist and nobody cares? Domain is not new, they must have been at it for years. Money is paid into a SA bank account...

No registration number, etc, on the site. I never buy if those aren't shown, and also payment gateways. There should be Payflex, etc, options. Those companies won't associate themselves with scams since they verify a store before allowing it to use their payment gateway. If it is only EFT, I run.

Unfortunately, I see on Facebook that there are lots of people saying cubed solar does not exist. Stay away! And report!
