Hi there , would like to find out if you can load your solar batteries with a secondary inverter that is hooked up to a generator(dedicated for only loading batteries). Have someone local that have a 15kw system(3 X Sunsynk 5kw inverters). Then there is a generator hooked up to a 5kw Growatt inverter that feed the batteries. Do not know how the BMS is influenced on the system since it communicate to the main 15kw Sunsynk inverters.

Hi, I have had many problem of Over Voltage and after replace new batteries I tried to monitor the situation. I see that during the charge/discharge cycles the SOC values of the batteries are never the same SOC values but there is often a difference of 7/10%: I would like to understand if it is normal for the batteries to have a different SOC value even if the cells voltage are identical? The system consists of 6 US2000C pylontech batteries. Does this behavior happen to you too? Is there a way via commands sent to the battery to have a soc value corresponding to the voltage value? Thank you in advance

I have a Q-on 6KS 6kVA UPS with an extended battery pack that I'm using to power some computer/screen/tv devices and LED lights during load shedding. The make is also sold under the brands Socomec, Eaton, Certa (and probably many more). It works well on brand new batteries for the first year or so, but after approx 18 months of light use the batteries seem to have degraded severely. It's happened with 2 sets of batteries (the second set replacing the first). I'm trying to figure out how to: - prevent this fast degradation - I was expecting the batteries to last at least 3 years - revive the batteries if it's at all possible. First set of batteries: 4…

I've recently had my solar installed and I would just like to know what would be the recommended settings for Charge & Discharge for my Sunsynk kit. 5kw Sunsynk Inverter 2x Sunsynk 5kw Batteries (BYD Cell) 12x 425w Trina Solar Panels I've had my charge on 50amps and just changed it today to 100amps to test, and noticed the the same results so far in getting warm, it hits about 30 Celsius, normally around 25, but we had some warm weather lately. I also don't want to damage the battries long term, so just want to check what would be the recommended settings to go for to keep my batteries at best health wise.

I’m looking to connect it to an 8kw Solis hybrid inverter. I know it’s only 0.5C but even so, it will still generate 7.168kWh, or is it better to buy a 1c 10kWh battery? I calculated that I plus minus use 10 units at night, if I buy the 10kWh battery it will barely take me through the night, on the other hand, the 14.336kWh battery will. Please advise what to do.

anybody have battery glitches when adding batteries….we added 3 batts to the deye hv bos system with 4 in…apparently batts have to be the same charge when all running together… we had to use 1 of original 4 to start with 3 new ones (inverter only starts at 160V). it seemed the new batts were 100pct but now the bms goes from 50soc to 100pct in afew minutes,.. i guess the bms thinks batts are full but they not.. any experience with this.. have to charge individual batts to 100pct and then re assemble…

So I realized that I am going to have to basically throw away the money I have spent on my first volta battery due to incompatibility with the new gen batteries. Spent 23k 3 years ago. Since I have now upgraded my system with more panels I am ready to take the next step to going completely off grid (In the future). So now my question is, what battery should I buy to replace the Volta stage 1. So far the Dyness powerbrick seems like a good choice, according to the manufacturers their BMS will remain compatible for at least the next 4 years. They also seem fairly inexpensive per Kw compared to other options. What are your thoughts? I was thinking of selling the Volta, but …

Good morning My inverter just don't last during this load shedding and I'm thinking of putting in a Lithium battery. my question: Can you replace it ? and will a Lithium be better? or should I just stick with a Gel ? not even sure if these trolley units will allow a battery change. This is what we have, we only have our internet modum and tv running through this trolley unit. thanks for your advice https://www.takealot.com/kool-energy-1kw-plug-and-play-inverter-system-all-in-one/PLID91066940

Hi All I have a Kodak (Axpert) 7.2 kW inverter with solar panels and 3 Shoto 4.8 kW batteries. I used an electric chainsaw while the system was in solar/battery/grid mode and the batteries all tripped (red ALM showing) and the inverter switched to grid mode. The chainsaw is only 2000W but presumably draws a lot more when it starts up. I can reset the batteries while connected to the inverted but they immediately trip. I disconnected the batteries from the inverter, reset all of them and they are happy. However re-connecting immediately trips them. I remember reading somewhere that a capacitor in the inverter charges up when they connect and the inrush current trips the ba…

I'm currently running 2x Svolt 48V 5.09kwh batteries with BMS, in parallel into my inverter. I need to add some more storage, but cannot find stock of the 5.09kwh i already have, but can get the 10.56kwh from the same supplier and manufacurer, same voltages. I saw there were a bunch of threads about adding Pylontecs of various sizes together with no issue, is anyone aware if the same can be done for SVolt?

Hey everyone. I currently have a 2 solar panel, 3.5 KV FiveStar hybrid Inverter connected to 2 x 120ah gel batteries but they are starting to degrade. I want to replace them with 2 x 200ah gel batteries (getting them at a very good price and I know I should buy a Lithium). My question is, should I need to change any settings on the inverter or can I just swap the batteries out. They are all 12V gels. Thanks.

Building 100% off-grid farmhouse (Location Zinbabwe) — looking for real-world feedback Planned system: • 30 × 605 W panels (~18.15 kWp) • 3 × LuxPower SNA6000 in parallel (18 kW AC) • 2 × Hinaess PowerGem PLUS 51.2 V, 14.3 kWh each (28.6 kWh nominal) — provision for a 3rd Use strategy: run all heavy daytime loads (induction 2-plate, under-counter oven, washing machine, 1 HP borehole, 0.5 HP booster VSD, 300 L heat-pump) during sun hours only. Night loads limited to fridge, freezer, lights, TV, fans, brief booster runs. Important: I’m intentionally oversizing PV so daytime loads are covered by panels and batteries see minimal daytime cycling — I want these batteries to la…

I have a small off grid solar system: 12 x300W panels. The panels are wired in 6 strings of 2 each. The strings face different directions, east, north or west (this gives maximum hours of power rather than midday peak power). This setup is high current - low voltage (which I prefer as low voltage DC is not regulated and it’s much safer). Inverter is a Axpert 5K (which is good for low voltage - high current) Batteries are 4x mecer 200ah lithium second life. Backup generator. With judicious use of electricity the system works really well. My conundrum is that I want to increase my battery capacity to last longer during the miserable Cape Town winters, however mecer says th…

I have two Volta 10kWh batteries connected to a Deye 12kW inverter. One of the batteries is showing only 2 green lights of charge, the other 4 green lights. The inverter states 80% SOC . I tried switching off the fully charged battery and had an inverter error saying battery over charge on the 2 bar battery. I checked the logger and there was no BMS data except for 100% SOC. It would appear the second battery is not communicating with the inverter. Is this an installation mistake, or is it normal for one battery to dominate?

Hello all. As title says, I have a strange situation with a JK bms. The setup is this: a jk bms PB version v15, an Easun SMG II 11 kw. Li2 protocol set up in inverter and Pylontech 9600 set up in bms. My RCV is set up to 3.45 v, corresponding with 55.2 v pack(16S). However, the inverter is charging the battery until 56.8v. I don’t understand why it charges until this voltage, as long as the target bulk voltage is 55.2v, which is also seen in inverter’s screen. Can someone help me with this? I’m attaching also my bms settings . Thanks.
