  4. Just a small update on this: the setup is in place since 12days and it works very well, cell are pretty ballanced, stays under 0.004V normally and when at 100% charge it raise to around 0.02V. The total voltage between batteries is a bit different by 0.1V. Probably due to wiring/internal battery resistance/bms measuring accuracy. Set the inverter to voltage control, using following settings (winter settings): Battery float charge voltage 51 V Battery absorption charge voltage 52.5 V Battery equalization charge voltage 52.5

  7. Thanks, will keep an eye on cell differences. Currently when at 100% charge, Pylontechs stays below 40mV difference.

  9. All right, thanks for valuable points. I'll go this juorney in a month, let's see how it goes. :)

  14. Thanks for your ideas. The way how is now in my side Deye set is by Pylon protocol, rather by voltage control. I just set a automation in Home Assistant to reduce charging amps to 2A once voltage on Pylontech reaches 52.7V. This way I have info about battery charging percentage. The diy will have a JK bms. Can I leave Pylon protocol as it is now and set JK to work with voltages?
  15. Hello, I'm looking for experience and advices from users having Pylontech running in parallel with other 15S batteries. Currently I have 4xUS5000 and I'd like to add a diy bank 15kwh. Pylontechs are connected by CAN to Deye inverter. Thus appreciate any advice, any settings/configuration, warnings, best practices, etc on this. Thanks!

  18. Is it true that Us5000 version can support up to 16 batteries without the need of a hub? Not sure if I get i tright from their manual, here attachef. Pylontech_us5000_series.pdf

  20. Any clue maybe how to set maximum SOC to 98% on Deye? I believe the only posibility will be also via HA when it reaches 98% to set charging current to 0 or so....
  21. On @BritishRacingGreen suggestion, I setup now a automation in HA to reduce charging speed to 10A when one of batteries reaches 92%. It works fine, still noticed a 3.56V for one cell, but again, very brief, under a second. Now lowered the charging threshold to 5A and will monitor how it is, it should be good, we'll see...
  22. That's an interesting idea using throttling charge control via Home Assistant. Then is has to be checked when batteries are back under eg. 92% to set it to initial charging amperage value.
  23. Right, BMS comms betweend Deye and Pylontech is not optimal. Is anybody using voltages settings instead and have good results?

  25. Thanks for sharing this. Well, I was asking as noticed that using BMS link, from time to time, I can see cell voltages as 3.57V for very short period of time. And overall battery sometimes reaches 53.4V. These are just very short peaks, these voltages never stay longer than a second or two. I'm just recording such maximum values with Home Assistant connected to Solar Assistant via mqtt. Thus wondering if it make any sense to use some predefined voltages in Deye configuration instead BMS...
  26. "put them at around 0.5V below the max charging voltage on the spec sheet and you'll be fine." - Anyoane using Pylontech with Deye inverters and can share best practice on limiting the voltage? Is Pylontech controled by Deye via BMS comunication setting or by defining charging voltages in settings? Thanks!
  27. So guys, how you're finally using setting "Disable Float Charge" in Deye with Pylontech? Is this option checked or is just left unchecked? Thanks for sharing your setup.
  28. I'm interested too on this. Thanks.
