April 9Apr 9 Hello,I would like to lower the maximum charging voltage of my US2000C (FW 3.0). At the moment it is set to 53.2 V, and I have no way to change it from the inverter side (HYD4000ES), since this value seems to be imposed by the battery BMS.Is there any way to modify this setting through the BatteryView software, for example by logging in as administrator?Also, I have two battery packs connected in parallel: a US2000C configured as master and a US2000 Plus configured as slave. If changing the maximum charging voltage is possible, would the US2000 Plus automatically follow the settings of the master battery?Thank you!

(Still) NOT AT ALL!!!In fact , the most recent firmware for PylonTech 15 cell batteries, have actually been reduced from ~53 VDC to 52.5 VDC.Each cell at full charge/ capacity; @ 53VDC is 3.53VDC, which has technically already exceeded 3.5VDC max. Now at the new maximum values per current FW update @ 52.5VDC is 3.48VDC per cell, which is ideal as it is closer to 3.5VDC per cell, and proper; less likely to becoming overcharged and ultimately extends the battery module’s theoretical lifespan Edited April 16Apr 16 by Loch Mis-read OP’s actual query
April 16Apr 16 Most hybrid inverters can be set lower —- if—- the minimum voltage is also reduced. If this is not possible, other options, without replacing your hybrid unit, would be to charge the batteries via a charge controller, where you can manually adjust the proper setpoints accordingly. Also with the latest. Most current or recent hybrid units will not connect to Pylontech batteries to begin with.Two practical solution that I might suggest is basically as stated above and rather than operating in closed loop mode , to operate in open loop mode with your battery modules linked together with an assigned master. With the latest FW, and in this configuration, all modules of the same type will still automatically balance, in its individual environment. Also if it is an option, you may able to manually change your battery “type” and change the minimum/maximum setpoints this way. Because lithium does not require a “4 stage charge cycle “ you might enter the same setting for bulk, float, absorb @ 52.5 or your preferred target voltage. Recommended discharge range is in the operating handbook as well as the pylontech website.*The BMS may indeed impose charge max at 53VDC but this can be overridden by manually changing to user settings for the batteries, and either defining your batteries, selecting L15, or selecting flooded lead acid batteries , while ignoring the float bulk absorption by entering the same value; opposed to the batteries relaying its operating parameters to the inverter… of course , this does not disable the BMS; not as if it can be disabled to begin with… good luck!_Loch Edited April 16Apr 16 by Loch
April 16Apr 16 NOTE: please take especial note to FW updates, as if not done with all instructions followed with the utmost caution, you might ultimately brick your battery module; I would always suggest for all end users to obtain the correct FW from Pylontech directly. I would also advise that if your battery modules are operating correctly, an update would not be necessary, as the issue lies with the hybrid inverter, properly communicating with the pylon batteries. Another option is to contact the manufacturer of the inverter and verify compatibility or their suggested solutions for proper communication._Loch
