March 23Mar 23 I would guess that some third party device should be able to interface to each or all of the batteries and also manage the interface to the inverter. Maybe Solar Assistant "can" do this.

This still does not give individual batter's data, but at least you can see the average...There is another way, but it is tedious:On the left side of the screen, click on "Operational data", then in the top row, click on "Please input SN" (this is grayed out inside the box where you must enter the serial number), then click on the little magnifying glass next to the SN. You can the download ALL the data that is stored, including battery voltage, current, temperature, etc. This unfortunately still only provide the average for all the batteries...As @frivan said, you will have to revert to a third-party device and software to be able to read the individual values. March 24Mar 24 You will need to determine what BMS the batteries are using and then look into a third party option to access that BMS data. EG. My batteries uses the Pace BMS and I have an addon in Home Assistant that can pull the Pace BMS data from the batteries using an ESP32 bridge to the master battery's RS232 port.

March 24Mar 24 Solar Assistant has it's place, but detail multi battery analysis is not one of them. They can give you individual battery SOC's, temps, volts etc, but struggles to give detail. One of the most important metric's is the individual cell voltages, as well as the delta cell voltage per battery. I, like @-cK- , use the Home Assistant method, so I can observe my batteries.Cell voltages like this:This way, you can actually "see" when a cell sag's/lag's during a charge/discharge cycle.Because this graph tells me when the max. was achieved, I can at least attempt to retrace to see if anything extra ordinary has triggered such an occurrence.
March 25Mar 25 Back to topic....Form what I can read from solar assistant is that one cannot "read" the Shoto (assumption here is that it uses a Seplos BMS, as per solar-assistant.ioThis is due to the fact that the dip switch needs to be set to CAN mode, for comms to the inverter, so disabling 3rd party access. If you really ant to get info out of the batteries, then set it up as RS485, remove the inverter comms cable and set the inverter up with normal (as in lead acid type battery) Just populate the relevant values e.g. bulk/float etc from the batterie's spec sheet.You would need a new USB to RS485 cable and a computer (e.g. Raspberry Pi) to ingest the battery data. SA can do the volts, SOC & temps of the batteries, but little else.There is a HA integration for Seplos BMS's under HACS, but to me it seems to require that the BMS has Bluetooth, AND it will give you even less info than SA. Hopefully one day some clever guys can solve this.

March 28Mar 28 @chrisc Well Chris, this nearly had me stumped, then I noticed the word "Battery" in the drop-down selection box (on the left, just below the "Operation Data" header). Just click and select "Inverter", and then on the magnifying glass... Just to add - all the info recorded by the Sunsynk inverter is available under the "inverter" selection of the dropdown - not under the "Battery" or any other logically sounding section.Hope this helps 😊 Edited March 28Mar 28 by HennieL

I believe that Sunsynk keeps this data for a few months (perhaps a year, can't remember...), then it's deleted.
