Hi I just installed recently a 5kva sollar system. MUST inverter and dyness battery with 6 450w pannels. We barely have any power from utility, maybe 3 to 4h a day on a good day. If these 4h happen during the day then the battery won't last from sundown until solar kicks in. If the battery is low but doesn't "die" then solar will start charging the battery when it is strong enough. If the battery dies then solar won't supply to the house until the battery is almost fully charged. I don't think this is normal. Solar will supply to the house and charge the battery from 10am (maybe earlier) onwards if the battery is low. But if battery dies, then why when the sun is strong i don't have solar supplying the house until battery is fully charged??
