  1. Hi TimCam. All the equipment is budget stuff. Ecco 11Kva inverter, MPPT HYBRID, Max Pv array 5500vdc*2, Voc 500, Pv array Mppt voltage range 60-500vdc, max sol charge current 160A, AND Ecco 600w Solar panels, 52.95 Voc, 44.06Vmp, 13.62 Imp, 14.25 Isc. I trust this provides enough info to guide me as to string and array setup. Many thanks

  6. Hi. Thank you for accepting me to you forum. All my life I have been doing things myself, sometimes with poor results and other times with better results. "Things" range from building to fixing cars. From crafts to wine tasting and braai-ing. Anyway Escom wasn't going to rule my pension provision! I have installed smaller Solar hybrid sytems in my house 5k and 3 k in my farm house Eastern cape. They work ok, but I lack knowledge to get the most from my setups. I need to assist my son- in - law with a 11kw hybrid system. 500voc, 5500w*2, 48vdc I spesifically need advice on solar strings/ array numbers, wattage and series vs parallel setup. They wil initially use around 7kw of the 11kw. Any suggestions and guidance please.
