A year later - has anyone successfully (or not) applied to become legally grid-tied directly to Eskom?

Hi everyone I am planning a partial off-grid installation in the next few months (or rather plan to have it done by an installer). I will post a few questions in the meantime and set out what I plan to do more comprehensively later. For now, I am wondering how noisy inverters and other equipment would be. My DB is in a room of about 7m x 5m, with a lounge at one end. The other end where the current DB is would be ideal for an inverter/battery installation – it is somewhat out of the way and does not get too hot. I am concerned about noise though. So how noisy would a largish inverter (e.g. a Victron quattro 48/10000 – I did not pick up a dB rating on the spec sheet) be? And what about a battery such as the Freedom Won Lite Home 20/14 – does it have fans (also no dB rating on the spec sheet)? I am not sure whether there will be noise from the other bits and pieces. So my question is whether such equipment will be too noisy in the setup above? I can divide the room or do an enclosure with drywall but would really prefer not to. Thank you for reading.
