I am extremely disappointed and frustrated after discovering that I was sold a Greenrich UP3686 lithium battery at the price of a UP5000 in 2022 by the installer, with a fake/tampered serial number attached to the unit. On 10 April 2026, the battery developed a fault and was sent to Elley Power, the Greenrich distribution and repair centre, for assessment. The report confirmed that the unit has a cell fault, which is unrepairable, and that the warranty was voided because the battery had been tampered with. What disappoints me the most is that despite confirming that the battery is in fact a genuine UP3686 unit with only the serial number being tampered with to reflect a UP5000, there appears to be no concern or assistance offered to me as the end customer who was clearly misled and financially prejudiced by the installer. As a customer, I purchased this battery in good faith believing I was buying a legitimate UP5000 product. I was never informed that the serial number was fraudulent or altered. I therefore find it unfair that I am now left without support or resolution after being a victim of deception. I request that Greenrich and Elley Power seriously reconsider this matter and provide assistance or guidance on how this issue can be resolved, especially considering that the tampering was not done by me and has now been confirmed by your own findings. I was provided a new battery on a discounted price. I will advise anyone to careful when buy this product due their installer/reseller temping with serial numbers.
