Axpert5kva (pwm) with JA Solar 330w charging issue
The weird thing is that the pv voltages displays 81v until charger attempts to start then only does it jump up to 110v. Pm'd a link to video with lcd display as well as multimeter.

Axpert5kva (pwm) with JA Solar 330w charging issue
Can it be a grounding issue between inverter and panels? Why do the voltage jump from 81V to 110V as the charger engage? Also can one replace the scc alone with the axpert mppt version?

Axpert5kva (pwm) with JA Solar 330w charging issue
Hi Everyone. Im experiencing some issues with my new setup of 8 JA Solar 330w panels and Axpert 5kva pwm inverter. If it starts charging in the morning and you leave it everything works fine. If you stop is for some reason as adjusting settings etc. it does not charge again. On the lcd it displays that it starts charging with a relay clicking but then the PV voltages shoots up to over the Max 110V en charging immediately stops. Panels are 4 parallel strings of 2 series panels. It displays PV input 81v till the relay clicks then shoots up to 110v and then relay clicks again and then falls to 81v again. Any ideas?

JA Solar Installation Question.
Hi All. Riaan here. New here. Been snooping around here a bit especially for some Axpert information so thanks for all the info and opinions available. We live on a small farm in the NC. Busy upgrading my current Solar system existing of a 3kVA axpert that was mainly used for Lights, TV, Laptop and Cellphone charging as well as a CCTV system. The rest, geysers, fridge, freezer and stove was all lpg but I'm looking to replace the fridge and freezer starting for now with 1 A++ combination fridge freezer. I've a 5kVA Axpert PWM that I plan on connecting 8 X 330W JA Solar panels to, connected as 4 strings of 2 series connected panels. Looking at their installation manual they suggest? blocking diodes as well as Over-current protection when connecting strings of serially connected panels. Is this necessary and if so can someone suggest Over-current protection devices? Regards, Riaan.
