  1. Hi all, I have an Infinisolar 3KW inverter set up at home. I only used as a Grid Tied inverter for the last few years, and have now been getting some load shedding in Namibia as well and decided to add 4 x 200AH 12V Lead Carbon Batteries. However, for some reason the charging current is stuck hopping between 0.0A and 0.1A This is with floot charge of 54.0V and Bulk charge of 56.2V The PV input power is also around 2.8KW and load around 0.5KW so there should be ample power for charging the batteries up to 54.0V? Grid Tied with Backup ii - Can feed into grid and AC not allowed to charge battery (PV only as charging source) Charging current max at 25A Please let me know what I can try, thanks.
  2. Hi Jaco, Thank you, I will give this a try. However, this is an out of the box unit. And it started ever since installation. But I agree it's easy enough to try and see what happens. Regards,
  3. Good day all, I have been looked through the forums via searching the above keywords, and could not find something similar during the course of the day. My problem is the following. We have a 5KW Infinisolar Inverter setup in the office with 15 x 300W 72Cell Modules connected in Series. The system is connected to 4 x 100AH 12V Lead Carbon Batteries. I know the batteries are quite small for a 5KW system. However it is mostly for display as no one is at the office during the night. The problem I have is that the 3 top Fans are extremely noisy recently as soon as the PV Input power exceeds ± 1000W. We had a previous 5KW (which I had to sell as an emergency unit as we were waiting for stock) and it only ever had the fans on high speed during very high loads or charging. This new inverter (same battery and panel confgurtation) is just too loud even with battery not charging. As soon as I disconnect the DC Switch (or if clouds are present) You can hear in real time the fans slow down. It seems like the fans gets activated at full speed even when not required? Any advice would be appreciated. If it helps, we are in Namibia (and yes it gets very hot and is now summer) But the previous years with the previous inverter the fans were much less active even during summer months. Thank you in advance. Regards,
