Thanks for an awesome resource - I've gotten alot of useful advice from the forum.

Like many others on here what started as a load-shedding solution only has led me down the myriad of different options and configurations. All things considered, I've finally decided on what would work best for me and would like some advice from those on here. I've decided on a pure loadshedding solution, no future option for solar, just to get us through 2 hours of loadshedding with 4 hour intervals between. I'm trying to spend wisely to achieve this (budget R20k max). The worst case load is about 1500kW to keep the aircon running on those hot Durban nights, alarm and some lights. We have a gas stove and oven so cooking and the kettle is not an issue. So I am thinking of the configuration below:

I wanted to use the inverter in the link below but I'm worried that the 15A AC charge won't get the batteries recharged in 4 hours for consecutive loadshedding events.

Does anyone have any experience with these batteries? A search on the forum doesn't not reveal any mention.

Hi There,

I am looking at the exact same Inverter and 2 X 200AH batteries to run 1200 watts for a few hours. Will possibly add a few panels at a later stage. According to the spec sheet, this inverter has a maximum AC charge of 60 Amps, not 15. Following the comments to correct me if I'm miscalculating.

Howsit, I did make a mistake. According to the datasheet on the Full Circle Solar site the VP model has a maximum AC charge of 25A (not 15). The VM model from Wonder Computers has a maximum AC charge of 60A. There are so many variants and models of the Axperts (or other rebrands) that it gets difficult to keep track.
