Hi,

Ive been doing some thinking about DIY wind turbines. Wondering if someone more knowledgeable in the area could answer some questions for me. 

When a Wind Turbine is say rated for 12V. does it provide a higher Voltage to charge a 12V battery ie. 13-14V?
I Presume The Voltage changes and Rises with the turbines RPM's, So would they use a higher voltage generator like 24-36V to produce enough power at lower rpms and regulate the Voltage output at higher speeds?
