Megesh Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Hi All, Looking for guidance on a planned install. I would like to install a 5kw inverter (looking at the general topics Sunsynk seems to be an option and is on the CoCT list) with batteries for now. Will add solar later when budget allows. With regards to doing this, do i need to apply for SSEG with city of cape town before putting this in? Choosing from the approved list of inverters will hopefully make life easier later when wanting to add solar. Have any of you done a phased install similar or have some advice? Quote

Out of interest, how did you proceed from here? I see no-one responded to your question. From my understanding, if you want a turn key solution, then yes, you would need to do the SSEG upfront and get a qualified person to draw up the plans, etc. Quote
