May 31, 20224 yr Hi all! We have had a growatt 3kva inverter with a lithium iron battery installed into our DB board for loadshedding. I have a couple questions if anyone can maybe help? 1) why is it so loud, even when the extra db board they installed is set to Eskom power, and the inverter switch is off? Output is 0 and battery is full. It doesn’t switch off ever? I feel like we have a server room running in our house 2) because it never switches off- are we using insane amounts of electricity ? 3) there is an alcove above the stairs where the inverter is- how ventilated must this be? We want to close it up with a cupboard door of some sorts to hide it and try help with the noise - but worried about the ventilation. Would louvre door or American shutter style door work? 4) the electrician couldn’t isolate many of the plugs so now washing machine, microwave and fridge (with inverter) are on there. Is this a problem if we forget that we don’t have power and use something? Will get one of those lights that switch on when power is off to remind us and plug into a non-inverter plug point too. 5) I cannot for the life of me connect the WiFi data logger. I’ve tried every app and trick on YouTube etc. Does anyone have any idea why? On ShinePhone it says connection error but we have 2.4ghz WiFi set up for this. I’m at a loss. If anyone has any other tricks I would be forever grateful!
