Victron Multiplus 2

Featured Replies

Hi All

I recently had a solar system installed featuring a Victron Multiplus 2 inverter.

Ever since some of my LED lights glow dimly when switched off. An LED work light also glows dimly when plugged into a socket and works normally when switched on.

Is this a normal characteristic of the Victron inverter?

These LEDs only started glowing after the installation but the installer is suggesting that it is a wiring issue unrelated to the inverter system installation.

Any suggestions appreciated.

It sounds as if your Neutrals is mixed up.

Why no E/L on non Essential side. What appliances are on that side?

"Lights were tripping EL so they were taken off." This is not the correct way. The fault must be located and sorted and not covered up by removing them from the E/L.

Did the installer issue a COC?

That’s what I thought.

Non essentials geysers, swimming pool, jacuzzi, oven, garden plug sockets!!!!!

I agree fully, I was told “don’t worry the inverter has it’s own internal earth leakage which will provide protection”

I think I’m being fed BS but thought I’d check.

 Thanks for your input.
