September 9, 20224 yr Hi I am new to this platform .Just wanted to find out why a 12kW sunsynk is not able to supply load when grid goes off. Irony is when grid is present priority pv supplies load and works well. What settings to i need to change. The flow chart at this moment of shutdown shows zero watts from both mppts but on load readings it shows adequate voltage under solar 1 and solar 2

Non essential loads will not be supplied as the Sunsynk adds this to the grid connection. If this stayed on you will electucute others on the grid. The essential can still work from the battery. So let's say the Sunsynk is used without batteries then the whole inverter will switch off and not try and power the whole suburb from your PV. This is the law of grid tied.

Thanks for the response .Would this mean that the inverter will not work with Pv panels when grid is down but would work with batteries under same condition on essential loads.

Yes in the case of the Sunsynk. In the Sunsynk one has the 2 groups of loads where essential will stay on while battery is above the cut out level. If using a high voltage Axpert/Kodak then the panels can still power the load connected to inverter provided the loads are lower than the power from PV during no grid with or without battery power. This is the major plus point.
