Growatt Inverter

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Excuse my ignorance, I Have a Growatt inverter and NEnergy battery. The inverter does recognise the battery as Lithium and defaults to AGM. Is it a problem if I leave it as AGM and not Lithium?

My next step is to the get supplier to change the battery to a Shoto or Pylontech. Appreciate your feedback.

Thanks

What BMS comms does the battery have ?

If you selecting Li on Menu 005, you have to select the correct protocol .

if there is no BMS comms, I would  recommend option USE on 005 instead of AGM.
then you have to define menu 019, 020, 021 as per battery specs.

Thank you, I will check

The Growatt manual recommend USE 2 for lithium voltage based setup, equalization needs to be disabled.. The lithium protocol for Pylontech is L52 for the CAN connection, you also need a 120 Ohm terminator on the unused CAN connector on the battery.
