I have a breaker between my solar panels and inverter(please see attached photo) 

The last few days it trips a few times a day. I have also noticed that the red cable is getting very hot just before the breaker. 

I only have 6 x 250w panels, they usually do not produce more than 1.2Kw

Could this mean their is a problem with my breaker?
