January 26, 20233 yr We have a Kodak 5.6kw Inverter connected to 2x Revov R100 batteries in series. The inverter is showing the battery state of charge as wildly different from what the embedded BMS on the Revov batteries are showing, and I was told this is due to the inverter inferring the state of charge based on the voltage provided by the batteries, and if I wanted to check the true SOC I would have to use the lcd display on the front of each battery. I would have liked it if the inverter could just read the correct state of charge from the batteries, which I assume is done via one of the COM connections provided by the battery and inverter. However I am unsure if it's as simple as just getting the correct communication cable and connecting the battery to the inverter.
February 27, 20233 yr Hi CryoniC, I am struggling with the same issue. Have you been able to resolve the communication issue?
February 27, 20233 yr Author Unfortunately not. I instead got a RS232 to usb cable and connected the integrated BMS to my solar-assistant raspberry pi instead, letting it read the battery and inverter separately.
January 15, 20242 yr I use the kodak 5.6 with the revov r9 . I use solar assistant. Battery connection directly to SolarAssistant and kodak connection to SolarAssistant. My readings in SolarAssistant is 100% .I use my Battery all the way to 10% and back to 100% no problems
