Currently getting a new solar system installed. 5kw SunSynk, 8x JA550w panels and Dyness 5kwh battery backup. I have a few questions that I would like to clear up before blindly following the installers quote and setup.

1) Thinking of wiring 2 strings of 4 panels. Should this be split to each MPPT or should they be wired into a single MPPT?

2) assuming the above setup, will a combiner box be required? or will a normal DB do the job?

3) The SunSynk manual doesn't call for a fuse on the PV input, only a SPD and breaker. Is this sufficient or are fuses recommended/required?
