SunSynk Aux Load (Smart load) on a three phase install.
Hi PowerForum I currently have a Sunsynk 5Kw single phase inverter paired with 5Kwh Li-ion battery and x8 JA Solar 550W panels. 1) The house has 3-Phase electrical system installed. Inverter and all essential loads are wired to a single phase 2) the balance of the loads (Geyser, Air-cons, etc) are wired to the other 2 phases. 3) during the day the panels are producing well in excess of the load. The balance of the solar power is simply wasted. Will it be possible to export to the grid and have the meter count backwards (pic of meter model attached)? Will it be possible to use the inverters Aux Load/smart load feature to supply the high power appliances (geyser, aircon, kettle) on the other phases during the day when the panels are producing in excess of the normal load?

Installer needed. Durban/North Coast area. Sunsynk with panels.
I am looking for a “Labour Only” quotation for the upgrade of an EXISTING RCT inverter system with 5kW Dyness battery. Essentially to replace the RCT with a 5kW Sunsynk and connect up with MC4 new installed panels and earth to spike. Install and wire the 2 string combiner box with isolators, fuses and surge arrestors and earth for equipotential earthing. Remove RCT, install and wire Sunsynk and add output circuit breaker. Existing battery and maybe fuse holder will need to be repositioned lower on the wall. All with necessary conduits and trunking. Commission and connect wireless dongle to App. COC. All work to comply with standards. Scope: Wire 8 x 545W existing panels in 2 strings from the double storey slab roof to combiner box. Conduits on slab and trunking down the wall. Drill wall for entry to DB room. Wire panels (installed already) direct to external ground spike Wire two string combiner box with isolators, fuses and surge arrestors. Earth to main DB earth Remove RCT, install and wire Sunsynk and add output circuit breaker to existing changeover switch, surge arrestors in main DB and input circuit breaker. All wiring to be neatly and professionally wired in new trunking CT coil connection Neutral earth bonding All materials (not tools) supplied by client Commission and set up Sunsyk and connect dongle Register Sunsynk warranty To ensure the installation is compliant with manufacturer and SANS regulations Issue COC Based near Ballito, KZN Inbox/DM quotation and work date Suitable references and DOL registration will be required before commencement Site visit will be arranged after prelim quotation if necessary

Wiring for 8x JA550w Solar panels and SunSynk 5kw
Hi PowerForum Currently getting a new solar system installed. 5kw SunSynk, 8x JA550w panels and Dyness 5kwh battery backup. I have a few questions that I would like to clear up before blindly following the installers quote and setup. 1) Thinking of wiring 2 strings of 4 panels. Should this be split to each MPPT or should they be wired into a single MPPT? 2) assuming the above setup, will a combiner box be required? or will a normal DB do the job? 3) The SunSynk manual doesn't call for a fuse on the PV input, only a SPD and breaker. Is this sufficient or are fuses recommended/required? Thanks in advance.

Axpert 5k Relay clicking and flashing lights. Won't Start.
Congratulations @BritishRacingGreen and @Coulomb!!! Thanks for the advice. Bought a couple capacitors and got the local TV repair guys to do the replacement. Inverter back online for a few bucks. Hopefully other find this thread useful. It's a fairly easy disassemble and reassemble process (take pictures along the way). I can't comment on the actual capacitor replacement but the guys had it done in less than 10 minutes. Definitely worth giving this fix a shot if you are experiencing the same symptoms.

Please send me a picture of the capacitors location on the inverter if you have one handy. I have looked through the above post mentioned and think I have a good idea of what needs to be replaced. I'd Rather be sure as I'm not too handy with this stuff and there are no great options for a repair centre near my location.

Axpert 5k Relay clicking and flashing lights. Won't Start.
Thanks. Lead acid batteries are actually in good condition, fortunate circumstances, let's just put it that way. Polarity was definitely NOT reversed. Inverter is almost 8 years old and at the beach, so probally on its last legs. Going to just have to bite bullet and upgrade as I'm going to be using Lithium going forward anyway. Thanks for the advice, I'll keep the forum updated if there are any easy fixes I come up with.

Axpert 5k Relay clicking and flashing lights. Won't Start.
Hi PowerForum I decided to upgrade my battery setup from 8x lead acid 105Ah to a lithium unit. I disconnected and setup the Lithium battery (Dyness A48100), however on restarting the inverter all I hear is a clicking noise with all the lights flashing (incl screen backlight). The inverter never boots. The clicking noise sounds like a relay (clicks twice in a second). I have tried reconnecting the lead acid batteries but the same problem now persists. I have seen other installs with the exact same setup so compatibility doesn't seem to be the issue. Voltage is correct at the inverter terminals and the battery fuse is still intact. No obvious physical damage to other components (capacitors, fans etc) within the unit. Please let me know if you have any ideas of what could be wrong and potential fixes.

Sub DB inverter wiring
Hi all First post here. 5 Kw inverter and 8x105Ah deep cycle batteries. I have installed 2 of these setups at my office and holiday house by myself, but have run into an issue at my main house. Three phase power on the main board and a sub DB at the other end of the house. I want to eliminate the geyser breakers on the inverter circuit, problem is, they are on the sub DB (other breakers on the sub DB should be on the inverter circuit) and the inverter will be wired into the main board. Any idea of how this can be done? Happy to provide clarity or pictures if needed. Thanks. Or if anyone can recommend a competent installer in the Sandton area.
