Anoraks, BMS, Parallel and Coms Cables

Busy education myself. Saw a few videos about the optimal way of connecting batteries in parallel with bus bars and equal length cables being the best option. 

But I am assuming now with batteries with master slave setup. And BMS that allows this and the Coms cable setup between the batteries a setup like this should be fine: since the bms will make sure that no one battery is working more that the other battery and the same for the charging scenario?
