Smart load and Push-back on Sunsynk 8kw Inverter

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have a Sunsynk 8kW inverter, 10 Canadian Solar 550W panels and 2 Freedom Won 5 Kwh batteries.

I have everything on the critical load except my geyser and oven. I am currently using the 'push back" functionality to power these non-critical items when I have excess solar. To do this on System2, I have ticked "Zero Export" and "Priority Load" only and have set my Grid trickle to 20W and my Export Power limiter to 8000W.

My questions are the following:

1) Will the above setting power the non-critical items using battery power (if the SOC is above System1 settings) even when there is no additional solar? (e.g. can I use my battery power to heat the geyser at 4am) with my settings as above as long as I have enough battery power?)

2) If not, can you use the "push back" functionality to use additional solar during the day and the "smart load" functionality at night for non-critical loads? What are the practical considerations here... I don't have to have to be flicking switches every evening to make this happen.

Many thanks in advance for your input.

Cheers, Frank
