Growatt SPF6000

Featured Replies

Hi all,  I'm a bit frustrated with my Luxpower SNA5000 that keeps popping the fuses on my radios. It does everything else fine, but I have a heap of fuses that I have replaced and now worry that it may have also degraded the longevity of my AV system.  I have come across this Growatt SPF6000 that is said to have dual MPPT and was wondering if anyone has experience with it. I like that it's rated higher at 6kw which is good as I also run my geyser on my existing system. But are there are issues with it or is it as good or better than luxpower in blending power? And most importantly......doesn't pop fuses like the Luxpower. Screenshot_20240315_121100_Google.thumb.jpg.b8f9da11ec2b7467815773d3ac28070f.jpg

I have two of these in parallel, running for 3 years now and I am delighted with them. It runs my entire house with hwc and pool pump. Barely tops 60% usage on a housekeeper day. I wanted the dual mppt, 6kw, parallel capability. The extra genny input was a bonus. I did not want to feedback to the grid, which these units do not do. They are also very quiet. Make sure you have the latest firmware, and main boards and you'll have zero problems. I eventually went fully off grid, and got a small 5kw pure sine wave dual fuel backup genny which I end up using only around 15 very cloudy days per year. And the price is great.

Are you in JHB? I want to get disconnected early next year. Any information you can provide on the process you took to do it?
