May 23, 20242 yr Good day, I have 6 x 540w panels conected in series on one string of my luxpower 5kw inverter. My battery is siting on 35%, with full sunlight on panels the inverter only shows a pv input of 1400w, 227V. should this pv input not be closer to 3000w? Power consumption in house at that time is only 700w
June 1, 20242 yr What is the panel orientation? North is best if you live in southern hemisphere. At what time did you get 1400w? As the sun comes up, your panels will ramp up production until it hits a peak. This production will then start to decline as the sunsets.
June 1, 20242 yr The azimuth and panel mount angle will determine the production as will the time of year. We are approaching the lowest solar irradiance. Typical solar now is around 600W per square m, and that would be a solar panel directly facing the sun on a clear day. In summer that goes up to 1000W/square m or more.
