July 16, 20242 yr Hi all ... unfortunately I've made the mistake of buying bits and pieces on special and now that I've got them from different shops I'm hoping they are all compatible?have bought some panels ,and inverter,and battery...but need some experienced advise on how to set them up ... panels are 550w, VOC 49.90v ,imp 41.96v, isc 14.00A,vmp 13.11A.... x12 Battery is five-star fs-g01-48200 51.2v l. Lipo Inverter is, SUN solar inverter I'm wanting to run battery less during the day (load shedding from 6am to 9pm ) I have a small 240v well pump 1/2 horse power maybe 3/4? and want to run DC lights and tv at night . 1, what configure should I do the panels ( bifocal) 6 strings of 2 series, or 3 strings of 4 in series ,or 4 strings of 3 in series, or some other combination in parallel (no issue of shading) 2, the inverter has rs 232 but its not the same size as the battery rs232 and USB is like a printer USB ... 3 the battery has 4x RS485 which is the same size as the inverter rs232 ....the inverter sales guy at the shop said just plug up the com cable from the battery to the inverter... switch battery on first and then inverter and they will talk to each other and program themselves...is it that easy? 4 unlike my old charge controller there's no DC load out ...so do I take off from the battery with some buck converters with circuit breakers?
