July 22, 20241 yr I have just bought a 2nd hand Pylon US2000 with one dodgy cell. Does anybody have an old US2000 (perhaps broken BMS or some bad cells) that can be stripped for spares? Alternatively, does anybody know where one might procure a (new) spare cell? It is a pouch type cell, 8.5 x 140 x 240mm, 25Ah per pouch.
July 22, 20241 yr Hi Calvin,I have a water damaged US 2000 battery which could only have pc board damage and cells are are ok.Have not opened it up
July 22, 20241 yr Author Hi @Barrels, Sounds interesting. Some questions: 1. Any idea of the cycle count / SOH of the battery? 2. Would you be interested in selling components, or just the whole thing? $$$? 3. Where are you located? Cheers. Edited July 22, 20241 yr by Calvin
July 22, 20241 yr Hi Calvin,I would rather sell the whole battery.I would say about 92% SOH.I am in Underberg KZN I used to have my batteries outside in cabinets and then had a major storm which only damaged the one.Since moved indoors Cheers
July 22, 20241 yr Author Hi @Barrels One final question: how long has ago was it damaged? Do you have any way to test if the cells are at all alive still? Also, what price? OK that was 3 final questions... Edited July 22, 20241 yr by Calvin
July 22, 20241 yr Hi Calvin,It was damaged in February some time and been lying in my garage.I don't have any means of testing the cells You can make me an offer..I am open to any offer, just need to move it.R3000 incl shipping by The Courier Guy
July 22, 20241 yr Author I see on your profile that you have been trying to sell this battery since 2021??? Unless you had a second water damaged Pylon 2000? I suspect that it may no longer be usable. Pity.
July 22, 20241 yr Hi Calvin, this was the 1st battery that got water damage. This is the latest one to get damaged.I have got rid of 3 on this group since I joined. But anyway.
