Cutting plotter: Replace stepper motors with servos

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I have a cutting plotter (Secabo C60IV) that does a good job. However, it is very loud when rendering. The loud noises come from the internally installed stepper motors.

My question to you: is it possible in principle to replace stepper motors with (much quieter) servo motors? And with as little effort as possible, ideally just changing motors, without controls, printed circuit boards, etc...?
