Good day

I have 8 kw Deye inverters in parallel and now i want to connect the customers generator. So all the wiring was done but before i plugged in the generator to test it i tested on the gen port and found 60 V AC on the port before the generator was connected . I also bonded the neutral and the earth then the volage dropped to 27V AC. Is this normal ?

Im not sure if i can start the generator to feed into the inverter ,i dont want to damage the inverter or the generator.
