December 22, 2025Dec 22 Hi, I helped with a installation on our farm of a supposedly Mecer 5 Kw that my father in law got from his brother. Its the 145Voc 80A model. So it’s connected to a photon 5kwh 48v battery. The setting is changed to user and the charging voltage and so on are set according to the battery’s data sheet. I have 10 x 400w pannels. 2S5P as the VoC will be to close to limit if more. When i started up the solar panels was making power and charging the battery. The battery came out of storage with limited charge in it 2 out of 6 lights. Then the connection to the solar pannels stopped and the battery showed full on inverter and not on the battery it self. (Still on 2 lights) . But even if I connected a load the panels do not get activated. Only uses battery power now. Also the setting 1 is set to SBU. So what can cause the inverter not to take the panels into account?
