June 11Jun 11 Hi. Anyone has any experience with this new type of barge board from Marley. I recently bought some to replace a fibre cement one that blew off in a heavy storm. My understanding was that this is some sort of wood plastic composite but on arrival it looks like its 90% plastic. A bad move in hindsight as I want to install in in a place that gets sun most of the day and I doubt plastic will hold the test of time. The installation guidelines calls for pre-drilling a 32 mm hole and using a 32mm washer to allow for expansion and contraction and movement. This hole size seems a bit large to me as the roofing nails and screws that would be used are usually between 3.5 and 7mm. Any advice or guidance would be appreciated.
