Homeplug (Ethernet) works with Inverter?

Does anyone have any experience with using Homeplugs for ethernet over power lines with an Inverter? I would assume if DB is split into 2 all plugs would have to be connected to the same DB. Any other gotcha's?

EDIT: I should add its a Victron Multiplus II grid tied in question.
