September 4, 20196 yr Good day, My off grid setup is 2 x 330w solar panels 60amp pwm charge controller 1 x 205ah valve regulated lead acid gel deep cycle battery. Solar tracking mount My question is the charge controller only has a float setting which is HVD High voltage disconnect which you can set between 13 to 15v The battery specs are for floating charge set to 13 6 to 13 7v For Cycle use set 14.6 to 15v What would be the best setting to use? As the controller refers to this as float setting should i set the HVD to 14 6v as per battery instructions for cycle use or should i set the HVD to 13 8 for floating charge. Any advise would be greatly appreciated
